Which brand and color are your countertops? Any photos? I'm leaning toward grey quartz and would love to see yours!

How about Benjamin Moore White Dove? I find it to be a pure white but a lot of people see grey undertones. Might work.

Thank you so much folks. Katieob, my countertop is by LG Viatera, called Geneva. I put a link here because so far the pictures I have taken haven't done it justice. This pic looks like the specs are actually bigger than they are. It has very subtle specs. I really like how it turned out. Lowe's carries it, and I got mine through The Great Indoors here in Dallas. I am putting stainless appliances with it which I think will look good, and maybe glass darker gray backsplash. haven't decided yet. Good luck on your choice!

I have a grey Carrara, and my cabs are SW Extra White. All of the trim in my house is this color...I was going for a very old-fashioned, trimmed out look and this color set everything off. It's pretty white, though...it doesn't seem to have any undertones (unlike the color we painted our brick exterior, SW Eider White, which seems to have a smidge of violetish grey in certain lights (that sounds weird, but only way I can describe it. ) Grab that chip, too, to see how it might look with your counters. I didn't look at it for interiors, but it might work. It is considered one of their "cool whites. "

I've been working on just the right white for months, and have many, many painted samples! What I have found is that the color looks different in EVERY room, so what works for some here, may not work for you!

My kitchen is really sunny and bright, I found BM Simply white stark. I really like BM white dove & SW Alabaster, and find them very close to the same color, with a same hint of a gray undertone. I am afraid though... that it may still read stark white in my kitchen. I have SW Pearly white on my walls now... from the chip, it is much darker than I would have picked, but I picked this because SW color matched it from a cabinet sample I liked. I have a whole wall painted, and sometimes it looks perfect, just a soft off white, other times it looks a bit dingy. I'm leaning a bit more to SW Creamy (it matched another cabinet). White and yellow.. two very hard colors to chose, but I think you need to get samples and see large size samples in your space. The colors change dramatically from one room to another!

Thanks again everyone. I also got samples of BM simply white and white dove. I was afraid simply white might be too stark for my countertop and family room. I decided to go with Alabaster, which seems close to white dove....i think white dove is a tad darker? I will let you know how it turns out. Pretty scary! I am also going with the waterbourne (I now have oil-based cabinets.) I was leary of painting water over oil but my painter says it works great and no yellowing over time. So, I am taking a chance on it cause I don't want the yellowing which my cabinets have done with the oil. Thanks again for your comments!

Deardaisy, please share pictures when you are done! I am going to pain my cabinets but still not sure which white and I still have to change my counters. I have seen kitchens with SW Alabaster cabinets and they look very nice!
