Light fixture qs: should I use the same fixtures over the peninsu

I figure my peninsula, which is 59" wide, will have two fixtures. I was thinking of these which are 10.5 inches wide:

first question--are these too big for my not-very-big peninsula? Should I find something smaller? 10.5 inches wide is pretty wide, but these are the only ones I've found that are really unique and that I like. I LOVE the industrial look and the mercury glass!!! However, if you all have any other ideas for other fixtures, I would love to see them.

Second question: should I use the same one over my sink? It's not a giant kitchen and the sink is close to the peninsula so I'm not sure whether I should use the same one in both locations.

I can't comment on the size of the light fixtures for the peninsula, but I do like your choice.
In my kitchen I have 3 different kinds of light fixtures - one over the table, another one over the kitchen sink and then 2 the same over one window and the back door. Pot lights elsewhere. Personally I like the different fixtures - not too matchy matchy - but maybe it is not for everyone. They all have something in common though - the metal in them is antique brass.

I wouldn't mind a different light over sink. Its just that it should be of the same theme...like I would think before putting brushed nickel over peninsula and say bronze over sink...but you wouldn't do that either, so go for it ;-)

Personally I have no issue, and even enjoy mixed fixtures, but not in different color families. Your ORB is a warm finish and the nickel is cold. I mixed old gold with ORB and it flows wonderfully, but the nickel flusher stood out like an ugly thumb (IMO) so I changed that out quickly. So my answer, never with those two finishes. People love many things, which does make them work for their space, but not necessarily for everyone. If you are never going to sell...than don't worry, or if you don't mind changing them out...but if you can change it, I'd go with the same body of color (warm or cold) verses trying to make the two work together...cuz they really don't :(

Here are a couple pictures of my sink area. Maybe that will help. There are 52 inches between the cabinets above the sink. Also, I saw this pretty globe light at West Elm, but I couldn't buy it yet since it's so new (our store is brand new, so some pf the stuff on their showroom isn't for sale yet?!). I don't know exact dimensions but it is not as wide as the industrial pendant that I also liked from there. Anyway, because it's one of those corded plugin lights I wanted to have it for my electrician to deal with, so I didn't buy it, But maybe I should just order it and deal with it being installed later by someone else?It won't ship till Dec. 1 at the earliest. Would this globe light look good with the industrial pendant over the sink and the globe light over the peninsula, maybe? I'm planning to head back to West Elm today or tomorrow. Oh, and TODAY IS COUNTERTOP DAY (SO EXCITED!!!!) so I can post a pic with counters later too!!! Seriously. It's like CHRISTMAS.

A light source centered between mirrors means shadows. Since this is a guest room shadows are not that much of an issue. However, using a wide fixture with multiple lights means fewer shadows. HERE is one site to get an idea of the choices.

Ok, so if the pendant fixtures are Mercury glass with chrome accents like the one I posted, then what could I put over the sink??
Also, no clue why my kitchen is upside down in the pic above!
