The trim was too hard to capture, but here's colors that include the roof & Garage door. All colors are posted in order of Siding, Shutters, Roof, Garage Brush Blue, Ambler Slate, Geddy Gray, Geddy Gray Finnie Gray, Randolph Gray, Mop Board Black, Carter Gray Gettysburg Gray, Georgian Brick, Middlebury Brown, Sparrow Mineral Alloy, Cheating Heart, Cheating Heart, Timber Wolf And just for fun, I colored the brick, but please don't think I'm suggesting you paint it, because I'm not, I was just having some fun with it. :c)

Our house has Timber Bark Hardie Board siding and very light taupe trim. We want to resurface our covered deck with Trex and get rid of the "cedar" (orange) paint! What color would look good if we use black metal rails/balusters and paint the existing wooden posts to match the siding? Considering Clam Shell or another shade to contrast (not match) with siding. Are there any good simulation tools? Thanks, Sharon

Ok, I’m back. I’ve been trying some of the home visualizers… so far this gentek site i found easiest. Although, ‘easy’ isn’t the first word to come to mind. I’m like a six year old on etch-a-sketch. Lol. Please tell me there is an easier way to do trim than individually drawing each rectangular board. Or is that just the way it's done on freebee options? Anyway, all that aside, here are some attempts. I couldn’t come up with any red houses that I liked on our house, (so sad- must be my roof color?) but I don’t mind these 2 darker siding options. Marine dusk and super matte modern walnut. Question about the trim along the eaves and roof… on the modern walnut I left the trim on the eaves white and on the angled roof changed it to gray. (Although it looks like shadow.) I didn’t like the look of white trim on the top of the gables on the roof. But I don’t mind the horizontal white trim along eaves. Thoughts on that? Bad idea? It’s probably bad, since it’s not simple. But not sure.. still like the added white along the eaves. The other 2 pics, all the trim was left gray on the roof. I’m still not loving the lighter options, (Dover Gray is the one here) the darker siding seems to go better with this roof. Width of the trim? Other ideas I should try? Window recommendations? Thank you to everyone for taking the time to comment! To clarify, we do not have stucco, we have 1940's cinderblock that is in pretty bad/uneven shape. The painted cinderblock is not a good look, nor is the cheap t1-11 siding on the back addition. Stucco homes in our area tend to crack or have moisture issues due to humidity. We want one siding type to bring the whole house together. Ongoing maintenance is a factor, as well. The v-groove siding we selected will have mitered corners (no corner trim boards) for a modern look. It is not the Hardie plank "lap" siding put on most traditional homes. We are also considering adding stained wood to the "bump out" in front with the 3 windows. We could do that horizontally or vertically, though I am concerned about this looking too "on trend" now and dated in a few years. Currently that bump out is vertical painted wood paneling that has a lot of rot. We are replacing the roof, if that was unclear. We'll need to stick to shingles due to cost as we also have to replace a large flat roof with costly TPO. Additional recommendations welcome! Thanks again!
