I think I might stat killing my plants if I continue?!?!?!?!
Comments (13)Well Tracy, I just don't understand why so much moving the pebbles in & out. Seems pointless (to me) & too time consuming (I've got abt 200 plants & work fulltime). If one topwaters (even if carefully), one can just water to overflow into the pebbles. Moving the pebbles in & out like that seems too much work & time consuming, I have FAR too many plants for all that time & work. If you're dead set against topwatering (can I pls. ask why?), what abt just topwatering when fertilizing & then just twice a month is really all that's needed. As to fertlizers, if you've just started w/ them, why not use them EXACTLY as directed but only once or twice a month, May thru Oct.? Barring unusual plants (or winter growers), that's really all that's needed. If you're fertilzing sort of weakly, weekly (as many Orchid growers do), I'm doubtful that's a great idea for non-orchids; just my opinion. Hoya HopefulA (Toni), Welcome back, it's EXCELLENT to see you back & posting, you're voice & contributions have been missed by many. Am hoping all (or most) is much better in yr. neck of the woods & that Spring finds you cheerier & flourishing! (PG) Karen...See MoreI think you might like these!

Comments (9)Terri, that was a very fun link. I meant to take a quick look too, and ended up reading most of her blog. Saved it so I can check out some of her links as time permits. Thanks for sharing it. Here is one section of her blog where she shares something her MIL used to do--it seemed quite a good suggestion for some of us too. Take a look: "My mother in law likes to entertain one on one. She'll invite a girlfriend over for lunch or for dinner. She has easily half a dozen sets of dishes that only have two place settings. Sure makes storing them easier and whatever your mood you have the appropriate dinnerware." She goes on to state that her Mom loved to entertain and had bought place settings for 60! I can't even imagine that! Wow! I liked her writing style too, and saved the idea about the silver tray with candles, silver ornaments and greenery. Right up my alley, so to speak! LOL Can't wait to browse on there more, but I better get busy doing things around this place today--waaay to easy to stay on this computer too much! Luvs...See MoreI think I might actually go forward with my bathroom remodel
Comments (7)lukkiirish - here's a synopsis: tub/shower combo, toilet and sink/vanity will stay in the same place they are now door will become a pocket door with opaque glass that lets light through new tub might be a little wider and deeper if I can move tub spout to side of tub rather than end of tub (for seating at either end of tub) door may have to move over a little to accommodate wider tub door moving over may mean vanity needs to be a little shallower relatively new toilet will be replaced with one that flushes human waste without the aid of a plunger vanity will be replaced with one designed for the space such that doors aren't obstructed from opening by the toilet - and so that laundry chute under the vanity that is current sealed up with contact paper becomes usable with something like a bin type opening - and so that it generally has well designed storage for bathroom use medicine cabinet that's to the side of the vanity will be gone and replaced with some other medicine cabinet type storage other stuff that's just wearing out like faucets, tile/grout, exhaust fan, etc. will be replaced other than that I'm really going to try not to get caught up in too many extravagant, expensive ideas (unlike my kitchen)...See Morecoco4444
