Help with granite to go with cherry cabinets
Comments (9)Check out Melanie 1121's kitchen. She used Typhoon Bordeaux granite with her cherry cabs, and it's gorgeous. I used uba tuba (doesn't fit your requirements) with my cherry cabs because I needed some contrast with my log walls. But...in another kitchen, I would've loved the Typhoon. Comments (0)I touched on this in an earlier post, but figured it needed its own thread. I'm struggling with finding a granite that can work with both white (or ivory) cabinets and a darker cherry (which will be our island's base). I'm hoping for something somewhat neutral rather than busy and dramatic. However it's a struggle to find something makes the room feel warm without being too dramatic a contrast with the white. Currently prefer colors in the creme/gold/tan-brown category rather than greens and blacks. Thanks!...See MoreHelp w/ paint color for cherry cabinets & Venetian Gold Granite!
Comments (4)I will post pictures when it's all said and done. I still can't decide! I asked the builder if he knew of any model homes with any of the colors on the walls so I can see it in person. It's too hard to choose from just a swatch in a binder! I've attached a link of the approximate granite and cabinet colors if that would help anyone with their opinion! :) Here is a link that might be useful:...See MoreNeed Color for trims to go with dark cherry cabinets

Stock white - like BM 01 or BM 02, which I have in other rooms, or Muralo White - just looked too stark. I took samples of my wood, wall paint and granite to a paint store - one that sells Muralo,Bruning, etc. They have designers on staff. One of them helped me pick a good off white for the trim, with no charge for the consultation. Sometimes these designers will even make house calls. I think the right shade of white or off white could be great with your cherry and oak....See Moresusanlynn2012
