Would Polished Chrome or Brushed Nickel look better? (Pics)

Hi everyone!

The "L" cabinets are in and DH will start working on the countertop tonight. I need to finalize the faucet next!

Do you think that a Polished Chrome faucet/hardware or Brushed/Satin Nickel will work best? (And should I worry if the same finish from different companies will match or not? In my pic compilations at the bottom, finishes with the same name don't seem to match...)

First, here is the "Cast of Characters" for what we hope will be a simple/elegant/cottagy style kitchen (on a budget!):

* Wall Paint - Fernwood Green (Benjamin Moore)

* Cabinets - Ikea Adel White (I've read it's a good match for Ben Moore's Cloud White)

* Breakfast Nook Chandelier - ORB

* Countertops - Ikea butcherblock - Stained Black! (Yes, we're going for it! Wish us luck!!!)

* Backsplash - undecided - probably white subway tiles or beadboard

* Floors - #2 grade Red Oak, stained Golden Oak

* Appliances - Stainless Steel

* Sink - Ikea Domsjo Single

And finally, here are the faucet/hardware contenders (A and B below):

* Glass Knobs

* Cup Pulls for Drawers

* Faucet - Victorian style

A) Polished Chrome

B) Brushed/Satin Nickel

Thanks for your help!!
