With a "D" shaped sink, you could put the faucet in on "corner", slightly down the side. With a smaller sink, I don't think it would be an issue reaching items in the entire sink...besides, the Vinnata is a pull down and can be docked to cover any area within the sink.

As to the other items. I'm thinking the smallest one would go in the top middle of the D soap dispenser?) and the other in the other corner.

Look at my sink. The larger bowl is a couple of inches smaller than your sink (21.5"). See how the faucet & SD are installed. You could put the filtered water faucet where my SD is and put the SD in the middle along the top. If you put dish detergent in the SD, then it might be more useful there anyway.

Thanks Buehl and plllog. And thank you for the picture. The faucets do need to be opposite each other on the curved corners, its the soap dispenser that is messing me up. I try to visualize it on one side or the other. The middle might be best if there is room, I know it will be tight.

Actually, there are many design principles which prefer odd numbers. Three is fine! I'm not big on soap dispensers. I hardly ever used mine in the old kitchen and didn't put one in the new (I like the bottle), but I think in the middle would both look funny and be really inconvenient. It should look fine paired with one of the faucets.

Ideally, for looks, I'd like to see it with the smaller faucet. Put the larger faucet on the center line (the diagonal from the opposite corner like Buehl's). Pair the other two, and have them equidistance from the center line on their corner. And I'd put the soap in front of (which is also on the outside of) the faucet it's with to make a low, medium, high progression. It would look fine paired similarly with the bigger faucet if that's a lot more convenient. You just wouldn't get the nice rising levels. The tension from low across to medium and back over for high might actually be more interesting to look at, in the end. Not to worry. Just make sure the controller of the faucet isn't too close to the soap so that it isn't a pain to use.

You could also, if the plumbing allowed, put the big faucet in the forward position and pair it with the subsidiary faucet and just put the soap on the other side. That might look really cool, though it might not be very convenient.

Thanks plllog. I may end up just making a mock-up of the sink and faucets to see what would look and more importantly work the best. My GC has pretty much been MIA, and I assume that like the other subs I'll be giving direction to the granite fabricators, so I'm overly worried about correct placement around the sink.

No, no, you're not overly worried!! Definitely make the model. That's a great idea. It's even worth unpacking the real things, and setting them up in plywood if that'll help you audition. Scraps of plywood are cheap. You do NOT want to be stuck with the holes in the wrong places. There are no do overs.

Thats true. I spent over 2 months looking for the right granite slab. It will be well worth it to make sure the placement is correct. I've read too many horror stories here.

@katsmah i know its been 12yrs ago, but we are getting ready to have our counters installed with a D Sink and are doing the same set up as you may have done. Did you end up putting the three items? if so can you share a picture with me? Tks so much.

i too just had Dshape sink installed and posed this question here on houzz and also to my contractor. The majority said 3 would be too much.

I had the contractor make a hole for the soap dispenser a little further back, so if I decide to add the faucet, , there wowuld be space. figured I will live wirh it for a while and see how I feel . They could always come back to drill another hole, but once the hole is done its done.

I figured if I live with it a while and really feel the need for a small beverage faucet, then I can move ahead and do it I would hate to have drilled a 3rd hole , only to find out its crowded and not functional. I felt under pressure to make a decision, as countertops were being installed when I posed the question. when I found out I can always have someone come back ar a later date to make another hole if I wanted one, I thought that was the best way to go.; gives me time to live with it and also take my time researching a bit more to see if and how it is done by others if they too chose 3 holes and D

its 24 inch wide base caninet, side mount faucet and soap dispenser . I was rhinking if I added a beverage faucet, matbe it could go to the left of the dispenser(?) or put the beverage faucet where dispenser is now and put dispenser to the left of beverage
