LOVE the Winchester with your space...it gets my vote.

I am with you on your choices. I like the Winchester the best.
You may look into solid Talavera tiles because they look a lot like the Winchester (not counting the cat ones) and they may be much cheaper and offer you more color choices. What I love about the Winchester and Talaveras is the variation on the colors. The soft light parts and darker tones make it look more special to me.

I love the Winchester tiles too. They remind me of this kitchen (I think it may be rococogurl's??) which is one of my very favorite GW kitchens.

I think the Winchester will certainly tone down the modern feel though I dont' know if I care for them with the larger white one you show. I like the white by itself but (at least on this monitor) the finish looks so different then the Winchester. Hmmm... above the stainless though... Who makes the white tile? I love the idea of mixing that with something yellowy (not too light yellow) for accents. Does the manufacturer have something like that?

Bmore... I hate to spend your money but I really like the idea of this Trikeean tile in your kitchen. It's strawyellow crackle.

I'm kinda groovin' on the idea of the Modulus 4x16 in this Moonshadow color for myself. One of many ideas... :-)

With the SS I like the little sparkly blue tile. It just seems to "go" better to me.

I just came for the drinks. I have my own backsplash issues and sex.......well........not so much these days.

I like the Winchester best too. The pics I've seen of your kitchen strike me as homey and unpretentious while simultaneously also fun and a bit eclectic. To me, the multicolored patches of the Winchester tiles strike pretty much the same notes.

bmorepanic - We must be running with the same brain waves - and not just the "more panic" part. My cabinets are red birch and look similar in tone to yours. My counters are gray, my walls are a gray/putty with a hint of green (your green is greener, I love it.) Same style of open shelves and lots of window. AND, I have been toying around with tiles and considering just doing the stove back, using handmade square ceramics including the stoneware (the matte just look too dull in my kitchen with all honed counters and no direct sunlight) as well as the Winchester tile. I am also looking at Pratt and Larson. They have beautifully finished basic tiles (in a ton of sizes, not like Winchester which is limited) as well as an interesting line called Intaglio (looks much nicer in person than online - hard to appreciate the tiny texture/pattern in such a small photo.) I am also playing around with the idea of doing different tiles (like the photo pickle2 posted) but with less variation in color (i.e. a bunch of "whites" some slightly gray, off, beige) which will be a little more background (primarily because I have red birch uppers and a slightly busy island pattern - though too much contrast might be too much.) Or with thinner rectangles in a random pattern. You might want to check out what P&L have (not to make your search more complicated.) But enough about me and ideas...;)

In response to your question, I think the ones that are "white" would be great, love the Winchester different colors, and though the terra cotta is beautiful, I thought it might take away from the cabinets - versus accenting them (you already have the tone in the cabinets.) Look forward to seeing what you choose :)

In my opinion, the Winchester tile colours (especially the light blue) clash with the silvery green. My vote goes to the larger white tiles from the first picture.

I vote for the large white tiles with a hint of the blue sparkly tiles. Maybe cut the corners out of some the large white tiles and insert the blue sparkly tiles. Love the stainless.

I also like the Modulus 4x16 in the Moonshadow color that remodelfla suggests.

I'm biased, but I like the Winchester tile best too. I have them in the Sudbury color which I think would be beautiful above the stainless. It's a gray/green color.

I like the Winchester too, although maybe a color other than the aqua blue. The cream and pale yellow are gorgeous with your counters. I like the paler green/blue color shown in the kitchen pickle posted. Of course, it could be the same as your blue and just look more muted on the wall.

I think the terracotta is too similar to your cabinets and counter color and the room would be too monochromatic. The large white works also and would be my second choice.

I, too like the Winchester, but agree w/ homeagain about the aqua blue as I'm just not seeing it w/ that beautiful silvery green but would good w/ a pale yellow.

Can you tell us what that silvery green color is, pleaaase?

I really like the Winchester in the alderburgh color, on my screen it looks sort of eggplanty. That color would look fab with the green you have and the cabinet color, it's also an easy color to mix. It is both glam and casual at the same time. Love it!

Hmmm, On my other computer moniter the alderburge looks just brown brown and not the right color. This color is not a shade of eggplant either but gives and idea of what was in my head and how so many colors would go well.

Backsplash? You leave the top off? Um... Right. Terracotta (which I'm thinking you've already abandoned) is going to make a triangle of color with the lower cabinets and look funky. I think the Winchester looks nice with your colors but it's going to trend a little twee as well as commercial, I fear, in a checkerboard. A single color, like shale maybe, would look both more sophisticated and more traditional. The mottled white looks like it picks up the tones of your gray paint. If they look terrific together that's a good option. I don't like the stoneware at all for that position. It's way too heavy. I love the small sparkly blues, but don't they fight with your grays?

I guess this is a qualified vote for the white, with a write in for a single tone of the Winchester if the sample comes in and it's just the right shade.

LOL before I saw my own splash come up I'm saying to myself Winchester definitely! Duh, guess I'm at least consistent. I also like the glazed 4 x 4s on the bottom of your concept board.

Thinking the terracotta look a bit heavy, Mission-y. I'd actually like a glazed color that would sort of be blend-y with the stainless splash vs pop as that seems to fit your vibe. Of the large size I prefer the whites (what is it with guys and earth tones?).

The 4" ones with color are a little too cotton candy for me - they are pretty, slightly raised edges and a really glossy finish. If I had more room, so the handmade-ness would build texture, or if they came smaller, I'd be more in favor of doing the white or silver ones.

What about plain fennel or soft yellow with a cobalt blue border?

The green color is a remix by BM of a BM Aura paint called Wind Chime.

That Winchester Tile is amazing -- never saw that one before. And they have (be still my heart) rope molding.

I think your green trim color is gorgeous. Silvery green tile would point that up.

Cobalt is a favorite of mine and even though it's dark you have enough natural light for it to look great. I think it works best as a blue-and-white look (I notice your wonderful bowls) vs with multi though if you have a special vision for the colors that you want, I'd go for it.

I also love a yellow/green combo but then I'd want to paint the sink wall a pale yellow -- sounds like you might find that too candy but if you gave it a jolt of cobalt for muscle I don't think it would be.

Whatever you decide, don't feel you can go wrong with that tile choice.

The cobalt is better than the sky blue. When I was drooling earlier over the Winchester, I was voting on the idea but not the actual combo posted. I agree that the sky blue is not the right shade.

I am not sure you "need" blue added at all, but it would be ok to do so. The yellow makes a lot of sense. Have you noticed the Bilberry, btw? That might be great with your colors and esp with the yellow. If you swap that in where you are showing blue, that could be a real winner. Of course, you can try some of the greens as well.
