Finished Mahogany Kitchen - tons o pics!

Hi All -

Thanks to all who answered my questions and posted on the numerous threads I lurked on to get even more info. Here are pics from our DIY remodel which took from April to September (not including cabinet build time over the prior winter). Unfortunately, I don't have any before pictures, but imagine 20 yo white appliances, white six inch tile countertops and backsplash, and pickled white country cabinets. A huge public thank you to my husband who literally invested blood, sweat and tears into this project over the last half year, while still working every day and being a great dad!

The details:

Cabinets: Mahogany - 3/4 mahogany ply boxes and solid mahogany face frames, doors and trim. Custom and handmade by my husband. Blum European Hinges, Blum softclose slides on "visible" drawers, Rockler overtravel slides on pantry and other interior drawers. Two Rev a Shelf mixerlifts. Handles/knobs - Emtek "Twist." Jewelry octopus and turtle pulls - Maitland Smith for Schaub.

Granite - main countertops - lapidus; baking station - black galaxy

Lighting - Quoizel plus CSL undermount xenon

Range - Capital 48" natural gas with 6 burners plus griddle

Hood - Best 1200 CFM insert

Fridge - Kitchenaid Architect Counter Depth French Door

Micro - Kitchenaid Architect

Dishwasher - Miele Optima 2472

Floor - Ramini Crema marble in French Pattern

Sink - Blanco

Potfiller - Danze

Faucet - Grohe

Still TBD - cushions for the banquette; curtains/valence at windows; black "whiteboard" station mounted on pantry above garbage can.
