We are using the Kohler Carrizo sink in our new build mud room. Haven't gotten it yet but have seen it in person at the store and it's lovely. It meets most of your criteria. It's a single sink with two levels. it's 9' deep (of course if you undermount then you get another inch) in half of it's 33" and 4.5" deep on the other half with what is sort of a shelf. Ahhh, the question to end all questions. I am househunting as well, and have asked myself the same question many times, so I don't know that I have the best answer for you. Plus you factor in the differences in opinion between the family members and that makes it even more complicated. It is different for every person out there that is house hunting based on their needs. Here is one thing that helped me a bit when my mom pointed it out based on something that I said about one particular house....think of how you live and your day to day activities. Now think of doing all that in that house. How does it work? Are you struggling to find a place to put your coat and shoes without a coat closet? Is that important to you? Are your kids bikes in the way of backing out your car when want to navigate that tight driveway? When you wake up in the morning, do you want to have a quiet place away to drink your coffee and check your email like that loft? Or will that just be wasted space that you feel that you have to furnish and wont ever use? If you want to have children, what happens with the 3 bedroom thing? What if your teen kids don't want to share? Just sit back and imagine yourself living there. Reality is, some things will drive some people crazy, when it is embraced by somebody else. The house hunt is obviously filled with give and take, but what matters the most is what works for you.

I've got some trim Benjamin Moore Simply White and some Behr Swiss Coffee. Both are really nice, although in my space, the Simply White is "brighter". White Dove was too gray for my house. I've recently bought a sample of Lowe's newest paint line by Valspar called Allen & Roth AR1016 Great White Way. It's a really mellow, soft white. A tip I read once was to buy the small craft paints. Paint them on sample boards to find a color you like, then take the board and have it color matched at your favorite paint dealer. The small 2oz bottles are cheap, you can get them less than $1. If you're near Hobby Lobby, they have Americana brand on sale this week for .77. I just bought a few for one of my kid's school projects. I found Americana and Folk Art brand ready mixed in colors called Warm White, Ivory White, Wicker White, French Vanilla, Winter White, Titanium White, Vintage White, White Wash etc. There are tons more in other brands too. I was thinking the same thing too BUT, I would anticipate having to cut off the entire top side so the sink can be pulled more forward when it's upside down per se. It's frustrating because the Blanco sink with the drain in the back middle has no lip to be concerned about. I've resigned myself with the drain on the right, which ultimately will make using the trash pull out easier when prepping then on the right. I'll have my DW, pull out on the left side of the sink, drain on the right and about 52" of prepping area. I'll have full access to the sink while prepping w/o having to stumble over the trash pull out if it were on the right side of the sink, or if the trash pull out was under my prepping area. I think I'll love this set up.
