PICS: tiles I have chosen for my kitchen

ILVA 18 X 18 Tile Pics of the Ilva 18 X 18 Tiles I will be using in my kitchen.

You can click to view the slide show or click to view all and choose the pictures that you want to see. Sorry so many but it was easy to download all in the folder I had from downloading the pictures from my camera and then adding the 5 older ones that I added a tile to.

------------------------------------------------------

Just noticed from the pics that there is a border of gray around the tiles. I had planned to use a lighter grout called Mushroom with a 1/16th width (or at least no wider than 1/8th since I have little dogs and I want to have an easier time cleaning the grout) and now I wonder how the gray border would affect my decision. Still trying to figure out the grout color & find an installer.

Any suggestions for the grout color or how I can fix the rest of the kitchen up by painting the cabinets and adding hardware or refacing the doors or waiting to remove the cabinets after another busy season and added granite counters. I still need a backplash but I will do that last. Before the stainless steel appliances I had very old outdated almond colored appliances that did not work that well and then one at a time each broke and had to be replaced.

The mushroom color plastic bar does not match the mushroom grout in the foyers. The Parchment bar seems to be a little bit darker than the sample chart of grout colors from Latricrete.

The tiles are rectified & have a rough PEI 5 glaze on them so they are not slippery for my little dogs to walk on. I added 5 more pics to show a bigger pic of the BEFORE kitchen.

I had asked to see pictures of kitchen with tiles to decide on the layout of the tile, the grout width and to make sure I will be happy since I got 40% off due to the tile being discontinued. I fell in love with this tile in my neighbor's house where it was so pretty with the Cherry cabinets, granite counters, halogen lighting, more windows and a beautiful backsplash. They have Stainless Steel appliances and a wood floor in their open family room with the same layout as my kitchen but they have a window over the sink. I hope my tile looks as nice when installed and when I make other changes to my kitchen like changing that outdated light fixture.

Any opinions, comments, suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you all for your help and being there for me.I wish I could do the whole kitchen at the same time but I have to save money for my upstairs wood floors that I need to do soon and I need a new hot water heater this year. So I am doing the project a little at a time. I really dislike the cabinets and counters and must change them soon or paint them for now to be happier or do something.
