Kitchen remodeling resources
Comments (5)Oh yes, I spend lots of time (and money...darn late fees ;)) at the library. My local library is small, though, and I usually request things from other branches. Which is why I'm looking for specific resources people have found helpful. My library system has several of Susanka's books, but not "not so big remodeling", unfortunately....See MoreRTA cabinets online
Comments (2)I have not used them and no nothing about them. I know that some on here have used KitchenPros and it was a disaster. I know a few posters have recommended Lily Anne Cabinets and liked them. I recently bought them for a rent house and they were lovely! I was very impresed. I bought them from link below. I bought the Arlington White. The color was actually more a very creamy color with a pale green undertone in the light. I'll try and post picture. Here is a link that might be useful: Lily Ann Cabinets...See MoreKitchen cabinet pricing-HELP!!!
Comments (3)there is a thread on shiloh vs showplace that outlines showplace by an expert kd and it is new so look on page 1 my take is this: i looked at schuler and medallion silverline and showplace. the schuler was $9k,the medallion silverline was $8k and showplace was $12k. had i been able to i would have gone showplace. i went with medallion silverline as medallion makes schuler and i wanted to use a kd in a kitchen place vs lowes. schuler has low and high levels of styles that mock all the medallion lines. my impression is that showplace has more standard quality construction features so if the price is the same, showplace is probably a better bet. re cliq, have you ordered samples? i did and did not like the stain colors and the samples had scratches on the dark finish which i thought was a bad sign for futures. i wouldn't even consider them without seeing their samples. if you love the showplace, possibly you can pare down some moldings, light rails, etc to make it more cost effective....See MoreAccessible kitchen design resources?
Comments (6)Look locally for someone with a CAPS designation. Retrofitting accessibility is much more expensive than buying something already built that way or building new. I did a bedroom to ADA bathroom conversion (with VA involvement) that cost 90K in a low cost area of the country. They couldn't afford to retrofit the kitchen....See Moreraee_gw zone 5b-6a Ohio
