I have Bermuda grass with wild grasses, perennial weeds, dandelions, and in a few spots, white clover. I think dandelions and clover are so pretty and they attract pollinators in the spring when they are blooming. I do fight to eradicate the Goat-head stickers though. (grrrr). The wild rabbits "plant" the seeds in the yard when they come down off the hill to browse. Once in awhile I have to dig them out. They were all over the back yard when I first bought this place. Too many to dig, so I spread weed and feed for a few years until they were gone. My chickens fertilize it so I don't need to anymore. I would LOVE to grow Eco-lawn. Very pretty. Looks to be a cool-weather lawn though, so it might not do too well here, except in spring. Now, I can walk barefoot and sit in the cool grass in the summertime. Grass is nice for star gazing on pleasant summer nights (another country pleasure - no city lights, so the stars are clear and bright). I enjoy mowing. Love the smell of fresh-cut grass and enjoy keeping it cut neat, although I am not a neat freak, so I don't fuss over it. It keeps the yard much cooler in the summertime and my family has croquet matches in the summer, especially on Easter and the 4th of July. What would croquet be without a lawn? And it just so happens that I love the color of grass - green! I brought some St. Augustine grass with me from Louisiana years ago and am now trying to get it established in certain areas. It is doing well down by the fish pond. It is not supposed to grow here because of our cold winter temps, but it does fine. Has to be watered in dry years, but otherwise it does fine on its own. Wouldn't grow in the back yard on the hillside though - too dry, but nice in the partial shade down where I grow my Tropicals. Easy to dig out if it ever invades the flower beds, unlike "devil Grass" (Bermuda) Hiss, Hiss ~ Annie

You're welcome Xuan...I wish I could have been more help. Thanks for the well wishes, hopefully my plant will continue to recover. So far it hasn't gotten any worse, so I'm hoping for the best. I agree with Cindy...I bring mine inside at night when the temps go below 65 degrees just to be on the safe side. It might be able to take a little cooler but better safe than sorry. Thanks Cindy for confirming this. How cold was it when you noticed your leaves started to yellow...always good to have the temps from people's experience. Not much info on the internet on how cold they can take it. Xuan, my sp. square is doing very well thanks for asking...growing nicely but NO peduncles that I can see :0(...I'm hopeful that it will bloom soon. Keeping fingers crossed. This is one of my favorites too and hope it stays healthy...I always worry about my favorite hoyas as I know it doesn't take much sometimes for them to suffer or take a turn...hoping they continue to stay healthy. The more information the better. DDT was found in the brain tissue of many who died of Alzheimers. It is coming in on produce grown outside the USA. We should care what is going on. Why watch loved ones suffer from Cancer or a hundred other diseases caused by impure foods. You cannot eat these chemicals in your food every day and not get sick later on. Please protect yourself and the ones you love and eat the best food you can get. We have the right to know what is in our food. It's hard to not buy that tasty stuff on the shelf. If food companies could make sawdust taste great and sell it to us as food they would. You need to try it for yourself. After you get used to food without the extra salt, sugar and flavorings you can really tell the difference between fresh food and the doctored up food. I used to get headaches all the time and now I don't. I would never go back to eating the way I used to. I think they should have to disclose every chemical in the food and that would be a very long list indeed. Remember too that if your liver is working overtime to break these chemicals down and get rid of them, it has a hard time working on fats to keep your weight in balance. What worries me the most is products that contain ingredients that are loaded with chemicals but are only listed as "tomatoes", "chicken", etc. What about oils like cottonseed that are loaded with toxic cancer causing chemicals because cotton isn't a food regulated crop. They use it in snack foods that kids eat. Most of the soybean oil is GMO and is extracted by a petrochemical solvent process. But all the label says is cottonseed oil or soybean oil.

I think that means it won't cool it as much as ice. Maybe... I guess it makes "on the rocks" more accurate!
