3 Countertop Surfaces-- Too much? Pic Posted

Hi all,

I'm a new poster to the forums, and am happy to join such a wonderful community.

I'm making a few changes to personalize my kitchen, the first of which is to replace the builder's granite.

I'm considering 3 different countertop surfaces in the kitchen:

Island: Wenge wood or other dark wood butcher block (island will be painted white to match white cabinets)

Around the cooktop: Stainless

For the long countertop under the window (a u-shape): Calacatta Gold, Calacatta Crema, or other white marble with gray and gold veining

Would 3 materials on 3 surfaces just appear too disconnected, with no single element pulling it all together?
