oil rubbed bronze faucet that is not black

We had picked out some weathered nickel hardware for our cabinets but are now considering changing to oil-rubbed bronze to coordinate with some lighting. The finish on these pulls/knobs is more even-toned and dark brown, rather than black with copper highlights.

Is anyone aware of a decent pull-down or pull-out kitchen faucet that won't break the bank that is more of a darker brown than black with copper highlights? I see one option by the brand name Premier but want to know what else might be out there.

We have purchased this faucet
Price Pfister Cadenza in Tuscan Bronze finish.
$320 CDN
but I've seen it on ebay for less than $200.

Try Grohe, Hansgrohe, Brizo (made by Delta), Danze....their oil rubbed bronze is usually more dark brown and/or dark bronze and not black with copper edging like the above.

I think either would go.. but looks like I'm ODD Man Out...I vote the oil rubbed bronze... I think the decision should be ..Whichever faucet you really love in whichever finish...

Only do that if you don't want to pick something special as your hardware. Use plain knobs and pulls. Using dark against dark makes everything blend in and you do not notice the details so there is no point in spending a lot of money on hardware that won't get noticed. If you want to keep the same color tones as an ORB faucet, then pick brass (yes, it's BACK!) knobs and pulls. It will be a bit brighter and still have the right undertones to use with ORB. Maybe a brass light fixture too? (NOT bright brass, "living" brass like you'd find if you found a fixture at an antique store)

Rubber oil bronze is a bit more traditional (with hints of real metal coming through) while flat black is more contemporary. Either could look striking given the description of dark oak and black countrrtops it really becomes a preference. The key decision in my mind would be, what are the switches and light fixtures (in that particular room specifically) ? if your house has an open floorplan its also OK to do "zone" design meaning whats in the kitchen can have a contrasted finish from the livingroom. a side note if going with lots of dark both in fixtures and cabinets (and/or appliances and sink) be sure to bring in light for contrast, either with lots of daylight (windows), flooring, upholstery or in the adjacent space so the eye can flow or pop. Having multiple shades and texture of the same family can be beautiful but too mucb of a good thing can make it overwhelming. best of luck.

Hard to say because an oil rubbed bronze finish can look very different when comparing different brands. Some are a nice brown and others can have a coppery look to them that gives them more of a 1980's look, which doesn't look as good.

This is my Moen faucet - Vestige. I love it

I am trying now to remember which I picked first, the hardware or the faucet, but you are right. A lot of ORB is really black. THese are from Amerock

muspic, what is that little faucet thing over to the right? I saw it in a picture of my dream kitchen in a magazine too. I am also getting ready to purchase an oil rubbed bronze for my new kitchen and can't decide which one.Thanks.

I have a Showhouse (Moen) Woodmere pulldown. It's not a true ORB in that it is not a living finish. I do like this one better than others I've seen because it does not have the brushed look that so many of the faux ORB finishes do-it looks more random and weather-worn. Expensive for a Moen (around $500 online) but less than Newport Brass, etc.

Moen Showhouse and regular Moen products have different ORB finishes.... (Showhouse being the more expensive line...)

The regular Moen has the lighter look, that I think you are wanting. You can go to Home Depot/Lowes and see what they look like....

I went to plumbing supply places to find the right ORB for me. I went with Grohe because the finish is very dark without any variation. Don't get Grohe! :)

that little faucet is my instant hot faucet.

It is a mountain plumbing 'little gourmet'

another I looked at which is so similar was the waterstone annapolis

I actually found the tank at costco for the lowest price. It is the "quick & Hot" which comes with a faucet but not acceptable for my kitchen ( chrome finish)
I ordered the faucet alone
