Designer/contractor recommendations, DC area
Comments (3)Jennifer Gilmer did my cousin's kitchen and bath. Beautiful work. 1950's small house with even smaller spaces with every inch made useful. Be sure you know what your budget is going into the project. You live in a very expensive metro area and want some very expensive changes. Are you prepared to spend as much on this bath as the average kitchen redo? (50K) Here is a link that might be useful: Jennifer GIlmer on Houzz...See MoreKraftmaid Cabinets in Washington DC Area
Comments (4)We did our kitchen with Kraftmaid about 5 years ago. Our contractor had us order them thru MID SOUTH BLDG. SUPPLY - BLTMR, but I see they also have one in Beltsville, MID SOUTH BLDG. SUPPLY OF MD. I don't know if they were any cheaper then the big box stores, maybe our contractor got a better deal thru them. But anyway, if you go to the Kraftmaid website and put in your zipcode you can find dealers in your area....See Morerecommendation for designer/ GC in DC area?
Comments (6)Danielle00 - we got 4 estimates from contractors and ANT came in the least expensive, but they were the most highly recommended. For the DC area, I found their estimate to be very reasonable. Plus, they are all just really nice and great to work with. We ended up "designing" our kitchen ourselves, and comparison shopping on cabinets. When we decided on a brand (Midcontinent)we found a local distributor to actually see the cabs in person, and ended up ordering through them. We used Steve Resnick at Kitchen & Bath Distributors in Forestville, MD. I highly recommend him, too. (I've put a post on Angie's List)....See MoreDC area: CL retro kitchen set for 60.00
Comments (2)It's only in "fair" shape according to the ad. I wonder how the table top would get worn like that? Something caustic spilled on it? Anyway, for $60 it might be a deal for someone looking for a project or for a small hide-a-way cabin....See MoreDCJersey
