Need help with kitchen pantry design
Comments (1)What are you planning to store in there? Any small appliances like a mixer? Will your microwave be in there? I see your point about roll outs. However a few drawers might be nice if you'll store things like placemats or table cloths, user manuals, etc. The picture below has a nice mix of shallow shelves, door storage, drawers and a counter for small appliances. The counter would make a nice place for a charging station too. If you do a counter, I think 24" or more depth would be nice. You need some space b/w the door storage and the shelves to account for swing....See MoreNeed help designing a door
Comments (8)Sorry, I don't have actual picture because that space is currently two rooms with a wall in the middle, and we are going to remove the wall and make it a bigger room of about 23x18. Everything is on a design stage. The wall for french door and mudroom door is a dry wall now. I used Lowe's virtual room designer and don't know how to label and add exterior feature. I will try to explain it better. The black block in the center against wall A represents TV. The door next to the TV goes to mudroom. The french door goes to backyard. So there is a wall outside perpendicular to wall A between french door and mudroom door, which is one wall of mudroom. Hope it helps....See Moreneed help picking barn door for pantry

Comments (17)How will you use your pantry? Is it for all your food storage, paper towels, kitchen broom, etc? Or is it for specialty cookware? Good china? Entertaining needs? When my mother designed her kitchen and dining spaces, her pantry about the same size of yours was actually divided into two reach-ins. One opens to the breakfast room. She stored food and paper towels and some other miscellany. The other side was for specialty entertaining things, older sets of dishes, etc. (She also had a wall of storage cabinets, drawers, and coutertop in the dining room, measured and planned out for all her entertaining needs, that could be closed up with enormous bifold doors if needed.)...See Morebreezygirl
