Do you have any pictures of unfortunate adjacency?
Comments (22)Well I didn't see any unfortunate adjacency on our trip, but there was definitely an instance of fortunate adjacency. Right in the middle of Horse Cave, KY is a cave. You can see the railing against the sidewalk to the right, then it drops right down into the cave, a huge sinkhole. You can't begin to see how far it drops straight down, then splits off in 2 directions. If you're ever going near Bowling Green, go by and see it. No hassle (driving through park, waiting in line, sell-outs,) like trying to see Mammoth Cave....See MoreIssues and reasons. Do you have any? Pictures
Comments (3)John: use the HTML tag, like this: You do that by typing without the @ symbol and by replacing the text in the quotes with, you guessed it, your image's web adress. This is NOT the address of the website the image appears on, but the location of the image itself. It will probably end in .jpg or .png or .gif but will NOT end in .com or .net or .org any of those. Follow the instructions on this website to get the image's web adress. For example, the address for the image above is http://www.logees.com/images/C2009-citrus-myrtifolia.jpg I'm not sure why Gardenweb makes users learn HTML. It can take a while to learn for people who aren't already computer-savvy....See MoreFuncolors? Behr Anitque White/BM Manchester Tan
Comments (3)Yes, I am familiar with Behr's palette. I am a paint snob but I'm also an INTJ (Briggs-Myers personality type) which means rational and practical can trump snobbery. Behr is easily accessible and practical for many people and that is not lost on me. :-) A few shades darker than Manchester Tan would be Bleeker Beige HC-80. Of course, whenever you go darker that means other characteristics of hue will change. But these two are so close, I doubt you'll see a hue shift. It's just going to look darker. But the light is boss so you need to test in the space an see what happens. Can see Bleeker harmonizing nicely with Antique White. Bleeker is darker than Manchester and lighter than Lenox....See MorePlease post pics of Manchester Tan BMoore or any neutral color!
Comments (10)All paint colors have an undertone, even the so called neutral ones. Manchester Tan has a slight green undertone, but it's so subtle it's a good go to color. I'm not a color expert by any means, but I've struggled with neutrals and undertones. The undertones of what you pick should relate to your furniture, flooring, etc. I'd start with figuring out what the undertone of your cream furniture is. Are the floors wood? Carpet? If you do a google search for Manchester Tan, you'll see a lot of photos. I do have this in a bedroom in my house and feel it's lovely and a safe option. I actually recommend you check out Maria Killam's website. (I'm not affiliated.) I found it to be very helpful in piecing together what I knew didn't look right, but didn't know why. Here is a link that might be useful: Maria's blog....See Morelyfia
