Has anyone had their quartz fabricator do a miter cut on 2cm?

I'm doing a white quartz and it's really hard to hide the seam when doing 2cm with a 1.5" or 1.25" edge. I found someone who miters the edges so the seam is actually on the corner of the counter edge and shouldn't be at all visible. Has anyone done this? It seems like the solution I'm looking for. I also explored doing 3cm, but I'm ending my counter just a hair past the edge of my cabinet door (.25" max) and this is much less forgiving. I think I need to do a plywood base and 2cm so there's no chance of a visible gap anywhere between counter and cabinet top.
