7' x10' feet for a breakfast nook? If so, that's a lot of space! There are so many whose entire kitchen is not even 7'x 10' in size! My own breakfast nook is approximately 8' x 4' in size. It's located at the end of my galley style kitchen, in front of a wall of bay windows. I have a 30" round cafe table and 2 cafe chairs. When push comes to shove, I can seat one more at this table. But it's tight. Still, if I'm reading your post correctly, you have 6' more feet than me in one direction. If so, I'm thinking you ought to be able to create a decent nook area for 4. That said, how many people are you looking to seat? Design/style preferences?

I agree with MarthaVila. That's not a small nook.

If you have a 7 X 8 rug already, you can use that as a template or otherwise mark out the space to help you envision. A 40" square table easily fits and comfortably seats 4. We have a glass expandable 40" that is nearly always closed, but we have opened it for overflow on occasion and can squeeze more than eight if we really like each other. You'll be fine.

Your nook is bigger than my nook.

I pushed the table against the wall and really only have
space for two or three chairs. However all four chairs
can fit but not a great space to play cards.

Thanks for all the pictures. I think what I didn't describe well in my original post was the this nook is actually a separate room- so I have walls on all 4 sides. That makes a bit of a difference.
