I like the second from the left. Picks up the black color from your railings and front door. I think, hard to tell though, also picks up on the taupe in your area rug.

Could you also post a close-up shot?

In my opinion, trellis looks GREAT on stairs and I agree with roseabby and dedtired on the black picking up from your railings. I had a stair runner cut from a remnant as well and it came out GORGEOUS. They did a beautiful job and the trellis pattern looks fantastic - it doesn't look cut either. It looks like it came that way.

And the last one on the right - the nubby one - might not work on the stairs cuz it would be hard to make all the bends. It is kinda stiff. I am thinking about that one for my bedroom cuz it feels wonderful under foot ~ a little foot massage!

I agree second from the left. I am also in need of new stair runners and through the hallway to replace the one that was here with the prior owners. Are they costly?? It's my next big undertaking.

Kinda nervous about the rug - it is from Overstock & no reviews :( But it is substantially less than the soumak at the store so.......guess I'll take my chances.

Agreed--trellis pattern and top rug. Personally I'd like to see a different rug for the entry. Do you need a low pile to clear the door? I want to get a rug for my entry, but door is flush with floor. Perhaps the soumak there as it's a flatweave? As for the overstock rug, I think you may be safe since it's mostly neutrals--may be a tad lighter, darker. Do you know the manufacturer? I was impressed with my recent O purchase--came so promptly whereas with RugsUSA I had to wait almost a month for it.

I just ordered the O rug....fingers crossed:) You all have taught me to look for deals instead of buying at local stores & I even searched for coupons - found free shipping & 10% off!! Perhaps, I should wait until I get the runner & DR rug to make a decision about the entry rug.
