Thank you! What a great link GW. Ruby, I was thinking of having our spices in a drawer across (not the vertical spice rack) because some people felt the heat dulled the spices. Also, I'm doing something real cooks probably wouldn't like. I moved my ovens to a different wall from the cooktop since I don't use them that much. I'm putting the cookie trays, etc. above the ovens. As a side note, i am slightly concerned about the double ovens. In addition to not being that tall, I realized that my arms are not that long so when the oven door is down flat, I might be stretching to get to the rack. Maybe I will stand on the side to load the oven! I met with the KD today, Perhaps I didn't explain Holly's idea correctly and we were pressed for time and had to discuss a bunch of other things. She said that the grids were for some other purpose and she was concerned about having enough room with the 9". I also liked the idea of the two 24" drawer sets so she's adding that and revising (we did a lot of flip flopping of the location of things). She will send me an electronic version tomorrow and said we have ~ 10-14 days to make any changes. I will post when I get them and take a shot without my address on it :) While she had a lot of measurements in the plan, there were some cabinets that didn't have exact measurements. She said something about a range for the window and then the window size would drive the measurements of the cabinets since we were ordering somewhat standard windows. I am now thinking how the wider drawer would give me more flexibility on the pot storing. Not sure how adding the two thin pullouts would affect costs. Maybe I'll now be measuring the width of my pans! Hope I don't drive myself crazy :) Thank you!

Almost.... really really close but not quite. The furniture is done. I thought I had set up with my nephew and the cabinet maker to move it today. But evidently something came up with the nephew and family. So maybe the base will be installed today and the cabinet next week. Sigh. I did move everything out of the way including the fridge. I dealt with the scary stuff under the fridge. The back of the fridge lines up with that post now. Oh and you can kind of see my paint color - which I love. It changes from green to yellow to cream/white depending on the light. And from soft to bright. A question - how often do you all scrub the floor under your fridge? I generally get under there two or three times a year. Clearly not enough because it was gross! And for no particular reason here are some shiitake mushrooms I am growing.

I used the same single pull on ALL my cabinets, upper and lower.. And I quite like it. My pulls are all 5 1/4", solid polished brass. Three years ago, when I bought them from Look In the Attic, they were just about $10 each; I think the price may have gone up a little but since they are solid brass, they are "forever". A single pull works perfectly, even on a wide, heavy drawer. I have several 36" drawers, one of which has my Le Crueset big casserole and also a stack of cast iron pans. Talk about heavy! No problem at all. My installer was at my house today putting in new drawers where the dog cubby had been. My dogs were not using it the way my previous dogs had, so I decided to take back that space. I was talking to this VERY gifted, meticulous installer about my pulls and his view reflected a friend's son who builds custom cabinets; use a single pull - you'll always grab with just one hand anyway, and a single pull in the center works better than two with only one being used. And only one WILL be used. It throws the glides out of "synch".

As I mentioned, I cannot recall who the manufacturer was, but I do recall measuring in metric and obtaining various lengths of metric mounting screws. Hafele came to mind while trying to remember, but I won't assert positive definiteness. Paying someone to grind and polish the ends to change the shape slightly might cost more than the handles. SZ handles are available in various lengths, and I bought one of an appropriate size for the dishwasher panel. They were not specifically designed for Miele. With a wood panel one can use nearly any handle you want to mount. My Miele panel should fit on a Cove if I were to buy the Euro sized model. I think the second link shows the only SS Hafele models of that shape.
