I prefer the giallo... find it more interesting with the variation. I also prefer the ss but not the birdcage knob. Too much gunk can get it there and a PIA to clean.

Didn't know from your pic which granite was which, but I prefer the one on the right with the bigger chunks. Just looks more interesting, and the colors go prettily with your cabinets.

I agree with Remodelfla about preferring ss, and the birdcage knob being a pain to clean. The other knob you linked may have a similar problem in that there seems to be a lot of nooks and crannies. It's hard to tell from the pic whether it will hold onto gunk or not. It is a pretty knob, and will give a nice grasping ability when you pull on it due to its shape.

And I think the newer knob you posted in the post directly above this one is lovely. I have something similar (fluting etc but as a handle, and in orb) and love it.

GV is much more interesting. No to the bird cage. I don't much care for the pull with it either.

The giallo is gorgeous and flows nicely with your cabinet colour choice. I just don't like birdcage knobs in general. I like the new knob that you posted.

like the small patterned granite with bird cage pull. On that maple door a shiny knob would be so distracting...all the time....that looks edwardian anyway.

I like the granite on the left and the newest knob shown best. I don't know if the knob would be great if the whole kitchen were done with it. I'd use it in a few key spots, if that were possible, with something simpler but complementary. Maybe a nice pull for everything but the top drawers... Or, just use this fancy knob on the upper cabs.

I don't get the impression that the picture of the granite came out as nice as it would be IRL because the lighting is dark.

I know I'm in the minority, but I don't like a lot of movement and would go for the tropic brown. I will also vote for the less popular bronze knob. I know everyone puts in SS knobs and pulls, but bronze would look great with either and it never shows dirt or fingerprints.

With a quieter granite you can go for a more interesting backsplash.

That pull is a very specific look. I don't think your cabs and other choices support it.
Mpagmon had a good point about your bs. Do you have a style or tile picked yet?

oreo: Mpagmom makes a good point about bronzes...try Colonial Bronze website, look at their finishes page-note how they have many tones of a metal..bronze, iron, pewter,etc.The smooth maple door will become a backdrop-the hardware will show! Might be wise to zero in on the finish you like...they have great knobs also for your door type.

A note on knobs: We have simple round knobs made from the granite we have on our counters. I love it. Expensive, but worth it. I enjoy it every day.

I like the tropical better. You can buy them straight from the manufacturer in China. Much cheaper than buying made in china granite knobs from resellers.

I prefer the granite on the right with your cabinets. The colors match better then the other granite choice. I would pick the black knob for your cabs. Don't care for the filigree pull. Too fussy, I would let the granite be the focal point of your kitchen. Keep other implements simple. NancyLouise

Granite - I like the one on the right, but only if you're planning a quiet BS. If you want the BS to be "wow", then go with the quieter granite.

Knobs - I prefer the black knobs. The others are too fussy with your cabinets.

Make sure to buy 1 knob and try it out before committing. I was positive I'd like a specific cup pull when I saw it in the store, but it just didn't look right once in the kitchen. Ended up going with something totally different.
