My husband & I saw a square dinning table (54" X 54") in Crate & Barrel (called Portland). Just wondering if anybody heard of it or even own one & if you do own one how do you like it? Quality? (By looking at the table & did a little 'shake testing' of our own, the table appear to be pretty sturdy... but only those of you that've bought it & used it can verify the 'truth' =) The sales representitive told us the table is manufactured by an American company called BEST KING. Anyone heard of them? Some of their stuff is quite nice, and made pretty well. We have a few furniture pieces from them (in addition to decor/wall hangings), and are pretty much happy with all of them. Our Mix console table had to be assembled, but the instructions were straightforward, and easy to follow. My mom thought it (with its matching mirrors hung above it) "looks like more than it is." The walnut dresser we got for our guest bedroom is very nice, and good quality. The first one had some discoloration in the finish on the top, so they ordered a new one for us, no problem. They let us keep the first one until the new one arrived. When it did, one of the self-close drawer glides (or pair of glides) was a little wonky, so the delivery guys swapped the glide(s) out with one from the original dresser. We also have a glass/metal end table--Era. C&B replaced it a few times because the frames on each one were not square/level, so the table itself as well as the glass wobbled a little. We could have returned it and gotten our money back, but we really liked the table so we made it work using a couple of ultra-thin clear silicone "bumpers" as shims (undetectable). Otherwise, the SS and the glass are good quality (brushed SS and thick, tempered glass). Some of the furniture items we considered (other dressers, a media console), were either not as nice in person as they appeared online, or just not as well-made or as sturdy as we'd hoped. Others, were surprisingly nicer than we'd have imagined they would be. So, I'd definitely recommend going to look at their stuff in person if possible. HTH!

It looks polished to me. Honed or brushed will not have any shine or reflection. Brushed or leathered would not stand out here as this marble is very uniform.

Something about the glass one as I said makes it look less heavy more of an, "airy" feel for lack of a better word. Yet, they are both very nice.
