I think these types of pics would be adorable grouped on the wall or tucked in the hutch. Why not add a "spicy" color to your mix? I think paprika or mustard would be fine.

Krycek - I wasn't sure how to describe what I don't like about it and that is why I said "country." There are just some details about it that we don't care for. They are modifiable but we are not wanting to invest the time to try and do that and repaint it. I am tired of the painted furniture. My chairs are constantly chipping. UGH. I figure it might be easier to sell the hutch as is before we make any of the mods I would want to make,

Here is a pic of the window. It has white blinds on it. There used to be a valance at the top but I wasn't sure if I should do another valance or if I should do panels or combo of them..

He did do good. I had been complaining about our dishes forever. We had more of a plain white with a grey tone around the edge. Pic is small but this is what we had.

I wanted something with more color and I hated the bowls. they had a huge rim around the edge and they would break.

I wanted practical things this year and he totally suprised me with this. I didn't even ask for dishes. Just complained about them some.

I also got a forged knife set and a nice wood cutting board.

I don't mean to be a tease, but I remembered them from a line I have access to and thought they were perfect with your new dishes. I tried googling so you could order from someone online with no luck. The company is pretty large so someone in your area should carry them.

You will have to do a little work to find them. Go to the Propac site and click on showrooms and reps. The rep in your area should be able to tell you what store carries the line and can get them for you. They are 13"x13" each and should price well under $50 each.
Curtains, I am thinking simple. Something in coffee?

Since the walls are darker, I'd do a white wt again. It will look so crisp next to the paint color.

Those pictures are great but I would have a hard time giving $50 each for them. I would look for fabric remnants to stretch and frame. I do love those frames.

I was thinking the same thing Tannatonk. I was thinking either fabric or maybe even scrapbook paper that I can frame.

I found some poster prints of some similar things just not as much variety in the color which is what I like with the set posted above

roorezzi, I think a spicy color in your art somewhere would pick up the energy nicely. Your dishes are lovely. You could hang nine squares of fabric unframed on stretcher bars. We have nine small square flower prints on canvas unframed in our MB. I made several tries at googling to find something similar, but didn't have any luck. A place like Hobby Lobby or Michael's though would likely give you some ideas and maybe show you how to do it.

roo, I think scrapbook paper would work great!. Not a scrapbooker myself, but I know there are tons of patterns out there. Pop them in some frames (maybe shadowboxes?) and your done. In my world the pics I posted wpuld go for under $30, but didn't want to shoot a fellow retailer in the foot.

I will keep my eye out for prints or fabric. I do like the idea of adding a little of the paprika in there. Just not in a full curtain panel like i have now. I have a light brown and red paisley pattern.

Those are beautiful dishes! As I am looking for new dishes, may I ask what brand your new dishes are and where did your DH get them? He did a great job!
