Design help needed w/ peninsula plz!

This board has been such an inspiration already, can you please give me input on what you would do? We're redoing our L-shaped kitchen, pic posted below.

The areas between the counter and peninsula are tight- 3 1/2 ft. And with the fridge it's only 2'9". It's tight to get by.

Here are the dimensions:

peninsula: 5'6" X 3'2" with a 12" overhang on the end to accomodate a stool.

There's 2'8" between the big wall with the pic on it and the peninsula which has 3 stools on that side and 13" overhang.

I think the peninsula is too big but don't know what to do with it, remove it, decrease it's size? We want to remove half wall between the kitchen and dining room so we will probably use the dining room to eat our meals. Right now we use the peninsula but I feel like it's way too tight when I'm prepping or entertaining. At the same time I love the counter space and the drawers beneath hold lots of things.

Appreciate any feedback. Hope I can post these pics properly!
