I have the Lee Valley pullout pantry next to my Twins freezer/fridge unit. I know that you are looking at the larger unit but I wanted to tell you that after using the unit for 6 yrs I am still very pleased with the quality . The customer service at Lee Valley was very helpful when we 1st got the unit and had questions about install. I have a lot of very heavy cans etc in my pullout , It pulls out well and the items stay in place. So at least you have a review of one of their products. c

Hi pps... I am so glad my GC put all my hardware on without asking me. He did a great job, and it was nice to not have to make the decision. But, I will take a stab at helping you with your decision. On the long doors I would put the hardware right next to the middle divider molding.(Does that make sense?) On the upper cabinets I would say put them in the bottom corner. Hopefully someone else will either validate my advice or give you better....as a KD I am not! KA:)

We had planned to use two pulls on our 34in drawers but our gc/cabinet maker strongly advised against it. It can put uneven loads on the box and glides and cause the glides to wear quickly. He was willing to do it though as long as we understood the risk and mocked both up for us. In the end we liked the way the single pulls looked better and having used the space for a while I doubt I would have actually used both pulls at the same time on the larger drawers. We bought our hardware from school house electric. They have pretty limited choices though. They're solid brass and feel great in your hand. We also considered pulls from rejuvenation but didn't like the styles they had as much. Both places have easy return policy's too. just remember you're going to touch these multiple times a day. We didn't go nuts but to us this wasn't a place to cut corners.

After seeing your entire kitchen, I think I might go with the same bar pulls you have on the cabinets. Introducing a fancy handle wouldn't be my choice, even though the doors are antique.
