Thanks, Charliekin. My kitchen photos don't do justice to the backsplash. In real life, everyone just stops short and gapes! They're glass tiles from AlysEdwards, custom made for me in Italy. They're like stained glass, a milky white with grays and browns, no two pieces alike. I couldn't have asked for anything more beautiful to go with my Carrara counters. I think you can appreciate them better in these next pix. I over-ordered and actually have an entire unused box of them that I keep meaning to list on CraigsList or someplace. There's just no where else in the house to use them.

Hi Minniemom, Thanks! I got it on eBay, but can't remember the name of the seller. If you do a search for wrought iron towel holder, you should be able to find a few. I've seen them in white, black, rust and a golden finish. (Ours is supposed to be rust, but it's very dark. When I spoke with the seller, I think he meant rustic. LOL Oh well.) Ballard Design used to have one, but I think it's a little taller or bulkier. Lillian Vernon, too. Good luck! PS In the interest of full disclosure, if you get this towel holder, make sure your children (and DH) know not to yank too hard on the towels because it will tip over. We have two small dings in our window sill. I've been meaning to try museum wax, but I've been afraid that it would stain the granite.

Thanks Dash3108. hswsc-Here are some pictures of what flanks my range. To the left is a lazy susan cabinet that I had made bigger each way so I could store cookie sheets and cake pans on either side. On the right is a two drawer cabinet for pots and pans. ppbenn-You are right. The breadbox area has a 23 inch high backsplash. Don't know why. It is okay for me since I am pretty tall, but I probably wouldn't do it on purpose. Hope this hood insert picture helps. ="0" alt="Photobucket"/>
