I figured it out- 2 miles to either but not familiar with your choice

1.5 miles to SLT, and 2.5 miles the other way to WS.
If I have a chance to go by and browse the yellows, I will, and report back...

I have figured out part of it: SLT washed lemon and yellow pearl are "out" - for one reason or another.

It turns out that LC has 2 yellow colors: Quince (WS) and Soleil (SLT), with the latter being brighter, but I think the dinnerware is only in Soleil, based on the LC website. It is hard to know without seeing it whether it would work. I thought Noritake was gorgeous but saw it at BBB today and it turned out to be too "massive" and the color was not at all what I wanted.

I picked up a 4-piece set of Fiesta to try. It certainly looks very nice but is a little heavy.

Does anyone know how heavy are LC plates?

Jars Cantine are actually pretty light for stoneware. A few years ago, I bought 2 sets of Sango dinnerware because I fell in love with the looks, but they were so heavy, we hated them and gave away. :-(

At SLT today. This is the Soleil in a cereal bowl. They don't have any dinner plates on display so I can't tell you how heavy they are but the cereal bowl is very heavy, IMO.

A few more pieces they had available.

Here is the Jars yellow at WS, the lighting in the store was not great, I would describe it as a creamed corn color. I'm not a big yellow person, but I actually thought it was kind of a nice mellow yellow...

Again, may be the lighting in the store, but it did not look too much different than the Jars yellow to me, maybe a tad brighter.
No Jars Emerald on display, so I'm not much help...

The Le Creuset Soleil pieces that I saw were all two toned, bright yellow on the bottom & a lighter tone of yellow on the top. The yellow on the bottom is rather bright, definitely not a warm, mellow yellow. I only looked at the dishes, not the cookware, so maybe the cookware is different than the dishes?
If the Fiesta Ware doesn't work out & you need more investigation, let us know. Both are close to my home.

The lighter shades in Le Creuset Quince stoneware blend well with Jars yellow, if that helps you at all.

Yes, W-S LC yellow (Quince) is very close to Jars' yellow but, as far as I know, they only make cookware in that color, not dinnerware.

We have W-S here (that is where I got the emerald plates) and I am sorry if my post was unclear. We just don't have SLT and other stores don't carry some stuff that they do in other states.

You are right that LC Soleil will not work (most likely) as it is too bright (or something). I also suspected that it would be heavy but wasn't sure.

Fiesta yellow is VERY nice and works great color-wise. I am keeping the 4-piece set for a family member who needs to gain weight. According to some data, red, yellow, and orange make one hungry while green and blue are likely to have an opposite effect (not that I have noticed. o:P)

But Fiesta looks a little "too casual" next to Jars, if ykwim. Jars' plates are 'more refined' in a way (don't know how to better explain it). That 17-step process might not have been for nothing, LOL. Also, Fiesta is too heavy for my liking (I have weak wrists).

As I have bought 8 settings of Jars on clearance, there is no going back (not that I would want to :-) ), so I need to find the right serve-ware that would work with it. IDK why but I don't want everything to be green.

Has anyone seen Baum dishes in person?

They look nice on my screen but it could be very deceptive, of course. :-)

What about Real Simple from BBB?

I might have been wrong about the green color. According to this website (see link), it promotes eating but I don't know where they got the info. And opinions about red are split in the middle - some say it will make you more hungry and some say it will make you eat less. Go figure.

But I still want yellow. :-)
