need help selecting a bed/headboard

I am in the process of selecting a bed set for my 3 year old daughter. I first bought a sleigh bed from Stanley and it was much too large scale for her room. Luckily we had some quality issues with the set and the store took it back and refunded our money. Since I get the opportunity to start over in buying furniture, I don't want to make any mistakes this time around. I am thinking that this time I may only purchase a headboard and not a footboard. Her room is not huge and I want to make good decisions on the size and style of furniture I buy. I REALLY need some tips on selecting the bed. One important factor is that the headboard cant be too tall. The bed sits in front of a window that is only 34" from the floor, so I don't want the headboard to cover too much of the window. I am not overly concerned with buying super high quality since I imagine when she is in her preteens she may want to redecorate anyway. Plus, after the whole Stanley fiasco I prefer not to spend that much on kids furniture again. Here are a few links to styles I like, please offer any tips you have and suggestions too. Also, would you take a chance and order from an on-line retailer w/o seeing the set in person? I am having trouble finding any stores locally that sell only eadboards. Seems like with kids furniture they only sell head/foot/siderails.
