How reliable are Kohler soap dispensers?

I'm finally tossing out my cheap $20 lowes soap dispenser, which never worked properly, and I'm thinking of purchasing one of these two Kohler soap dispensers:

Model # 1893-C-VS (traditional design)

Any opinions or feedback on how reliable Kohler soap dispenses are? I'm inclined to purhase Kohler so it will match the Vibrant Stainless Steel finish of my Kolloer Forte pull-out faucet. Any other suggestions? Thanks ahead of time for your feedback?

babs711 - Thanks for your feedback. Which dispenser model do you have? Also, are you using it with the bottle it came with or with the Never MT conversion kit?

Well, you could use a faucet that just used one hole. I think that drilling holes into vitreous china will be really difficult to do without chipping and/or breaking it. Also, you will need to drill two holes - one in the top of the sink, and one underneath. I guess you have one advantage in that the most-likely terribly ugly hole would be covered with the faucet base. Personally, I like the look of the 8" spread faucets so much better than the 4" ones that I wouldn't even dream of possibly (or probably) damaging my new beautiful sink in order to have a soap dispenser. In addition, if I understand your intentions correctly, using a 4" and a soap dispenser would make the spout "off center", and for me [must...have...symmetry] that would be a terrible thing to have to look at every day. Camii41, I realize your last post was over a year-and-a-half ago, but I'm wondering if you still have any extra Never-MTs. We moved and left ours behind and I'd love to have one after our reno in our new place is complete. I'm thinking you probably gave them away but thought it wouldn't hurt to check. Thanks.

I have two Elkay Gourmet soap dispensers. I most certainly DID obsess over my choice to find a long enough spout without being too long and to find one that coordinated well with the clean lines of my Hansgrohe faucets and the rest of my kitchen. I had used a cheap one from the big box store in my former kitchen to good effect, but I wanted just the right ones for my new space. After all, it's something you look at often and use many times per day. It's worth a couple of hours (much more in my case) to get it right. Left to chance? Very little in my kitchen.

Need short soap dispenser with long reach

My Graff soap dispenser is right at 3 inches at the prep sink and just over -- just about 3-1/4 at the main sink. The reach is over 4 inches, and we've been very happy with both. Mine has a little more shaping to it than the one linkeed below, but this may go better with your faucet (the link took me to a tub faucet, but I'm guessing the shape is similar). We have had the Kohler 1895 for 5 years and has been great. In fact I just ordered a second one so we can have one for each sink when we remodel. I don't use the Never MT

They don't show my model anymore. Mine isn't the 1895. My too part goes into the bottom part instead of around it. Maybe they changed the design after I purchased mine. We don't have the Never MT. We just pour soap in when it needs refilling and don't find it to be a big deal. Hope that helps!

Califkitchen- Thanks. I'm so glad to hear that, because I just ordered the 1895. I like the contempory design and I think it will look good with my Kohler Forte faucet.

At this point I may just skip the Never Mt, since the bottle is 16 oz.
