Bill Vincent or anyone with tile experience, help.

Has anyone used tiles made out of polymer clay as a kitchen backsplash? I'd like to use 5-6 inserts only, and maybe one larger piece (6x6), inserted into a frame of glass tiles around it, behind the stove. The rest would be done in regular ceramic off white tiles.

Bill V, have you had anyone do this?

I made some tile inserts 2x2, and they look great, but I'm concerned if it's doable.

Will these polymer clay made tiles last, chip, change color?

I was experimenting because I'm looking for a unique look for a backsplash. So far, I've baked them 275 for 30 min.

I'm concerned about the largest one, right behind the stove. The little inserts should be ok, because they shouldn't get any direct splattering.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA
