Tan SW or BM color suggestions for bathroom.
Comments (35)@mark_rachel, I changed to cedar key. I bought it to go with the new marble tile I picked for the fireplace. There is a lot of natural light in the room. It might be a little pinker than bleecker beige, but I don't really see the pink when I don't look at them together. To me it is a very very soft latte. In the store it felt more gray. On some adjacent walls, I have collectors item. It is a creamy color, seems like a very light version of the yellows I had before. It works with cedar key. I did not want to be surrounded by taupe or gray, which is why I chose to contrast with cream. My living area pallete right now is BM white, cedar key, and collector's item. The paint consultant picked out the latter two when I brought in my samples. I told her bleecker beige (taupe) was my least favorite color (sometimes you can't avoid things that work so well), and that I loved gray but didn't want to be surrounded by it. I lived with bleecker beige for several years. Visitors loved it. I think I was ready to tone down all the yellows on the walls and floor, so I am happy going with cooler hues. BM has a free 2016 color of the year booklet that features varying shades of white. I picked one up at my BM paint store....See Morewhat do you do with pink tile in the master bathroom?
Comments (6)Tile on my (tiny iPhone) screen looks gold/grey. Is there another view that brings out the pink? The granite top looks very 80s and combined with 80s panelled cabinet doors seem at odds with the tiles which have a more 20s/30s vibe. Can you change door fronts to something flat and simple, and change bench top to better match the new wall colour and a simpler light. Best of luck....See MoreOpinions on low cost renovations for a vintage peach tile bathroom?
Comments (18)I would call that color coral not peach. Coral is super trendy right now! Look for a really good fashionable shower curtain which incorporates coral, black and white and use that to inform your wall paint color choices - you could even take the shower curtain to the paint store and have someone help you One other idea is find that exact color of coral on a paint strip (or as close to it as possible) and then pick out a shade thats a couple of shades lighter for the walls. That way the room is tied together (called monochromatic color scheme). A realtor told me that it doesnt have to be any one particular color, it just needs to bethe RIGHT color. Meaning that the colors in the house all fit together and look harmonious. Its impossible to predict what some future owner wants. Spend your time /energy getting it super clean instead of decorating (aside from paint/curtain)...See MoreBathroom wall paint color suggestions to go with peach countertop
Comments (5)Since you have experience painting over the floor tile, why don't you paint over the countertop, too. There are products made specifically for that specific purpose. If you want to keep the peach, I'd paint the entire room a color of white that works with the trim/cabinet/floors, and accent with navy blue rugs and towels....See MoreRelated Professionals
