Is 3ft X 6ft shower too long and narrow?
Comments (16)I'm also doing a 3x6 foot shower. It'll be an alcove with three tile walls. Currently planning just a shower curtain as there's not enough room between shower and toilet for a wall and I'm not good at keeping glass clean. I'm debating between a tile shower bench at the back end and an installed fold-up teak seat somewhere along the 6' wall. If I go with fold-up seat do I center on the wall? Suggestions? Really appreciate all the before and after pictures! Can't wait till I can share my own project....See More5 ft x 8 ft 5' Bathroom Challenge
Comments (8)We are just finishing a similarly sized bathroom, with what sounds like a similar layout. Ours is 7.5 feet x 7 feet, with the door on one short wall and the window on the opposite wall. The best decision we made, I think, was changing the inward swinging door to a pocket door. That door took up so much space in the small room and not having it is a huge improvement. Beyond that the layout is the same as what was there before: tub along one long wall, with a wall and base cabinet (with a small counter surface -- the old cabinet was very deep, floor to ceiling, no counter) taking up the remaining space on that wall. The toilet and sink are on the other long wall. We went with a console sink, with a long shelf running the entire length of that wall, from window to door, above the sink, to give space for setting stuff. We also put in a recessed medicine cabinet. We're hoping that will give enough storage (along with the cabinet). It should be finished -- or at least usable -- by the end of the week. It's looking good so far but the true test will come when we start using it again! Good luck with your reno....See More$2000 for 5ft infinity slider?
Comments (3)Hard to know, probably varies a lot with where you are and the details of the installation. Best way to find out is to get a couple of estimates from providers in your locality, if they are all close to each other that's probably about right....See Moreis a 6ft window 2 3ft windows put together?
Comments (2)You can probably get either depending on your manufacturer. I am in a similar situation trying to decide which would be better. In my case the window is 8' wide or I can go with 2 4' wide windows mulled together. Have any pictures of oyur configuration?...See Moretuesday_2008
