PB Silk Curtains - anything similar

I'm loving the PB Dupioni Silk Curtains, but feel like I should shop around first before taking the plunge. Does anyone know if the quality is worth the price or if there are other stores which are v. similar at better price? Thanks!

I have PB silk curtains. I also have silk curtains I made myself from fabric.com (probably the best silk of the bunch b/c I used blackout liner). However with small kids, my sewing days are over. I also have JC Penny silk curtains and they are fine. In fact, I just ordered a bunch more. They are a insane outlet price of like 33 dollars for a 42 by 96 inch lined panel. So I bought eight panels to change out the color in a room. However, they are having some issues with inventory as they didnt have eight in my size so I had to order some bigger and I will cut them down if I like them.

I havent gotten them yet, but I hope I like them - for the price!

We took Amtrak from NY to Florida a few years ago. All you saw was Mimosa's growing along the tracks, in the tracks, everywhere in places no one mowed. From North Carolina down to Florida. You couldn't see anything from the windows of the train except forests of Mimosa's. Now that we live in Sarasota, my neighbor has one, just one tree which invades all my flower beds. They sprout inside large bushes like Hybicus, Jasmine, Gardenias, etc. I am constantly pulling them out of flower beds. They will grow wherever you don't mow. They are difficult to remove. They make big seed pods which the wind carries all over the neighborhood. Many of the seedlings do not show until they are tall and so difficult to pull out. I would never recommend anyone planting this tree. They might not invade your yard (but they will), but your neighbors yards.

Silk drapes too short for new house- what can I do?

Oooh! This happened to me, I had gorgeous silk draperies (Cowtan and Tout) in my old dining room that had 9' ceilings. My new house has 10' ceilings. There was no way I wasn't going to use these drapes...I adore them. Luckily, I had 3 windows in old house and 2 in new...I took drapes to a fabric shop and they said they could add 14" to the bottom from 2 panels I wasn't using! We found some perfect trim, (egads, 10 yards though...ouch) and omg, they turned out so well...I adore them. I don't think it looks obvious at all. Perhaps this could work for you?

Thanks so very much for posting those. Very, very helpful. It's funny, but they don't look as dark in the hanging photos as they do in the other ones with just the sample. Imagine them on 6 huge windows in one room -- pictures are below. Would this work do you think? As I mentioned earlier, I had purchased curtains in a pearl shade but they basically matched the sectional too perfectly without contrast. I wanted to warm up the room a bit too. Thanks to all for the decorating help. I want to make a decision so I can order from PB before their cheaper shipping deal runs out! Here is a link that might be useful: family room

Paint Color to Go with RH Silk Drapes in Light Celery?

I am looking to buy RH silk drapes in light celery for my bedroom. My walls are a BM color called Ancient Marble which is a very light aqua green. I really love the color. It's slightly lighter than RH light celery and has more grayish undertones so it's not as aqua. I have some RH silk throw pillows in the light celery color. It's helpful to see your photo of your drapes. Below is a picture of my pillow against my walls (don't mind the dog). Funny you should mention Wheeling Neutral and Carrington Beige. These are the major colors in my house from the builder. I can't stand Wheeling Neutral. I have it in my kitchen and family room and some other rooms. It feels dark and muddy and I am slowly painting over it one room at a time. I have Carrington Beige in my foyer, upstairs hallway, rec room and some other places. I like it as a cool neutral.

don't know what color you're looking for but the dark brown silks are on clearance at rh...i think their panels are of very nice quality!

I have both the PB silk curtains and the silk curtains from JCP, and I think the JCP ones are actually nicer and a better value. The JCP ones I have are pinch pleated and 2x as full. I got the made to measure; so, mine are much wider and longer that the PB ones.

I had gotten 4 PB panels for my dining room in Ivory on sale for $99.00 apiece. Although I really liked the look of the drapes I was not happy with the color. None of the other colors seemed to work with my wall color. I found the faux silk panels at Target and gave those a try. I'm extremely happy with them. They were $28.00 a panel and machine washable. Love 'em.

I have three large windows (four panels on each) with the PB ivory silk curtains. I love them. I did not shop around much, but I am extremely pleased with the PB curtains. Personally, I think they have really pulled the rooms together.
