My decorator has suggested that large rectangular framed mirror over my mantle would give added light into my familye room. The fireplace is a tall tuscan style fireplace. Putting the mirror over the fireplace reflects the ceiling and my ceiling fan. I was hoping that if would reflect something more interesting like my kitchen or bar cabinets. Even if I tilt the mirror I still basically get the ceiling and fan. Should I go ahead with this plan? I know it adds additional light but am disappointed with the view. Love to hear your opinions and suggestions.
