We're happy with our Samsung french door bottom freezer counter depth fridge. We got it at Lowe's. When we bought ours early this year, Lowe's had an exclusive on the model we got. The only difference from the model that all the other stores had was that it has a 2nd ice maker in the bottom freezer. We thought we needed that because ice production is really slow, but now that we've had it for 6 months, I'm not sure if we would get the 2nd ice maker. We buy bags of ice for parties and the top ice maker is sufficient for our family of 4. Look for sales at Lowes - the best I see is about 20% off.

Did you buy the Stainless Steel or have you Seen the White Pearl finish, might be attractive? When you fill in your change of address forms, there will be somewhere that you can click on the places you shop, etc. You will find Lowe's on that list. They will send you either by email or snail mail (your choice) a 10% off coupon good for 1 shopping trip. This is on top of any sale prices. Needless to say every time a child moves home from college at the end of the year, I fill one of these address change forms out for them! And guess who getsthe coupon?

I bought the samsung french door counter depth in stainless as well. I did a ton of research and its the largest CD FD frig avaliable with ice and water on the door. I didnt get the lowes version but felt 1 ice maker
was enough. I got mine from Best buy at a major 30% off sale. Of course I had to wait almost a month for it to be
delivered.. its coming in 2 days:)

I just bought a Jenn-Air CD french door with water inside and ice maker in the freezer. We got a panel ready fridge and I didn't want water in the door.

Very quiet, never hear it running unless I'm beside it but I have only had it for 2 weeks.

I've posted a link for a 10% off coupon from Lowe's. It's supposed to be for moving, but I don't think that a move is required. You have to register, though.

In addition to the coupon, Lowe's has sales periodically. I would just check their website every few days. Often times the sales are over holiday weekends (like Labor Day).

WOW, Thank you all for the Lowe's Coupon resources! We will be using them soon, no doubt! Guess we should be filling out the change of address, this week. We are moving almost an hour away, so this is not an easy move for us!
So many recommendations for the Samsung, will have to get to the city and see these, this week! We currently live in the country and it is time consuming and lots of gas to go Anywhere - and our Grandchildren have all moved to the city, so we are following! Traveling over the snow and ice last year really convinced us and we were missing too many events with them!
fabb - your Jenn Air sounds wonderful, also - where did you purchase it and what is the approximate cost? How did you decide on this brand? I am so used to the single door and the freezer on the bottom that I did not even consider any other styles - but lots of you have the French Doors! Is it difficult to open the French Doors while you are holding the item to be put into the Frig.? We will only have a small counter next to the Frig. But I guess that I can learn to juggle! Please keep posting all of your ideas, moving day is just 5 weeks away!
Need some suggestions for the best way to PACK all of this household!! We will need a large moving van for furniture, large heavy boxes and patio swings, etc. But all of the clothes that we do not want get dirty, do we just pile it into the car and make multiple trips? And, of course, he is packing our wedding china very carefully and these kind of precious breakables will also have to be taken in our car! But how do you pack ALL of the Kitchen, large food Pantry and Bathroom/Linen closet items!! Oh and there is all the stuff in the office, yikes! We will be so happy when ALL of this is UN-packed and we are living to just visit the children, go to work and walk the Dogs!! Well, we chose the EPICURE by DACOR, French Doors with freezer on the bottom. Added the Stainless Steel handles with Chrome Trim, really well designed. Ratings for this DACOR are 5 Star with a cooling system that is the closest to the Sub Zero. Purchased at a local store, since the DACOR is a fixed price. But they did offer us a wonderful price on the GE ADVANTIUM Oven/Microwave, since we purchased it with the DACOR, so that really helped. We can't wait to move into our new home and get back to living! Selling your house these days really takes a miracle and now to complete the packing and start the painting.
Also, we ordered the GROHE LadyLux Chrome Faucet, looks great, will be happy when the new, Vintage Kitchen is all remodeled and we are using our Faucet!
Need some suggestions for the best way to Organize the Kitchen Cabinets - these are the Vintage Steel Cabinets and do not have the modern pull-out features!
Since we are removing the old tile floor in kitchen, we may use Horizontal BAMBOO - do you have any thoughts on the BAMBOO - Anyone have this, on one of their floors and how do you like the BAMBOO?
Also, Need suggestions for a reliable, affordable, good-looking Gas Range - How many Burners, 4 or 5? How do you use 5 Burners, is this an advantage - Help?
