I think the biggest problem is that I am doing 3 rooms at once. The decorator and I have spent hours upon hours looking at fabrics. I've actually been pretty quick when you consider it's 3 rooms at once. I'm not very good at articulating my thoughts but I do know what I like when I see it. For instance, my living room drapes were picked out in a matter of minutes. It worked, I loved it and we moved on. The family room and dining room have been much harder. My decorator is talented, well recommended and reasonably priced, so I don't want to get another consultation. She's decorator number 2. The problem is decorators flip through a book, look at 5 fabrics and conclude that two of them will work. Which they do but my brain just doesn't process things like that. I need to hem and haw and agonize for months. Annoying but true. The decorator listened to what I had to say, picked a fabric that worked great with the room and for whatever reason, I didn't like it. She has since sent me dozens of samples that meet my specifications and I was unmoved by them all. I have since gone back to her original recommendation and decided that it does indeed work best for the room. It's a floral (not my first choice) but I am confident that it will work in the room. My family room we wanted a stripe but I just didn't like what she had to show me. On my own, I decided to use a paisley that was meant for a different room. It's not what the decorator would have recommended but she is trying to please her client. I hope that she would have tried harder to discourage me if it was that wrong for the room but I am kind of out there on my own. It's scary because if it doesn't work there is no one to blame but myself! Oh, I know I shouldn't be doing all the rooms at once but I can't help it. I did my whole first floor at the same time too! I'm actually restraining myself from adding my kitchen to the mix - probably because I don't want to look at more fabrics!

First-- you can buy extra hook carriers so you are not limited to the number that come with the rods, though you probably won't need them. Second--For full drapes you will need 3x the width of the window or the width you want the finished drapes to be if you make them wider than the window. If you make five finger pleats you may need more. You will need the length you want the finished drapes to be plus an extra header width and a good sized hem. If they are full length drapes I usually put a 4 or 5 inch hem, but it depends on your material. Don't go too small or they look cheap. To make pinch pleats. You need header tape. Remove the selvedge edges from the sides. Put the header tape on the top end 1 1/2 inch in from the edge--stop 1 1/2 inch from the other edge and cut the tape. Fold the material down over the tape 1/2 inch and sew. Make a 1 inch hem on the sides. Now fold the tape down so the tape is enclosed in the material and pin. Now comes the measuring. I prefer a 3 finger pleat. If I want extra fullness I make the pleats closer together. You need 1 inch for each finger--a 3 finger pleat requires 3 inches. Measure 1 1/2 inches from the edge and make a mark. You can use chalk, sewing pencil or even a soft lead pencil. You don't need a big mark , just something you can see to mark where the pleat pocket is. For a 3 finger pleat with 2 inches between pleats---Measure the curtain across the top. Take off 6 inches--for ends and pleat at the end. Divide the remainder by 5 and see how it works out. You may have to increase or decrease the end measurement or make it 2 1/2 inches between pleats.now measure 3 inches and make a mark. Now mark the distance between the pleats 2, then 3 for pleat repeat across the top. Sew your pleat loops from top to bottom of thr tape so you have one big pleat. Now pleat the loop and finger press into 3-- 1/2 inch pleats and stitch across the bottom of the pleats at the bottom of the tape. If you want to make it easier then buy pleater tape that has strings you pull to pleat them. This makes very nice pleats all across the drape. The tighter you pull the strings the fuller the pleats. You sew it on flat and then pull the strings and tie them off. I suggest you get hooks that go the full length of the tape in both cases. Little hooks tend to make the tape fall forward on top and if you put them higher the rod shows. I also suggest that you look at rods that have wooden rings on top and clip on to the drapes. A quick Google found these - https://www.homedepot.com/b/Window-Treatments-Curtains/Grommet/1215/N-5yc1vZarfwZ1z0z5ilZ1z1a3uj But I wasn't able to find other stores that list any longer than 120". re: your narrow corner window, depending on the panels you find and their width, you may be able to cut a panel in half length-wide to use on that window. If you or a friend sew, it would be easy to fold over and then stitch up the cut ends. Do you want to be able to close the drapes fully over the windows, or are you adding them just at each end for color?

Sorry-I'm not getting notifications! Since you have the blinds, IMO they are enough. I think adding a panel would make it too busy.
