Granite selection

Well, I am finally making some progress in selecting granite for my kitchen. I am using Ikea Adel Natural Beech (shaker style, clear varnish). Ikea has a sale on now, and if I use their granite people (they sub out to a granite yard with very good reviews) I can save a lot of money. After five visits (!)I picked Bianco Antico, which I really really like but I am not sure if it is a good choice. I have attached some pictures and would like opinions. For a backsplash I am planning on using a whitish subway tile with some kind of glass liner that picks up the colors in the granite and cabinets. There is a small island that I may use cherry stained cabinets in the same style or keep them beech. Don't know yet. Anyway, I love BA but am worried about the fissures which are common with this stone. Those of you who have it, have you had any problems with cracking? And does it look OK with my cabinets?
