How should I fix this Peach?
Comments (6)acce, You didn't inquire about this, but your tree looks to me to be in a questionable location. From the shadows, floor litter, and trees in the background, it looks to be in a shady area. If that's the case you're fighting an uphill battle. Not only will the shade make things more difficult, but the competition from roots of other forest trees will add to the stress on your tree. Peach trees aren't like Oak or Maple trees that can be planted pretty much anywhere and grow without care. Instead for peach trees to thrive, they must be planted in a sunny location with good drainage, and little root competition. At least that's my experience....See MoreHow to Fix 'Chunky' Bagged Potting Soil?
Comments (1)I would try putting the chunks where I needed them, and wetting thoroughly. Bashing dry, hard chunks sounds harder than smushing soft, soggy clumps. Neither option would be my idea of a party, and it's a shame you pay for potting soil and get bio-concrete. I'm guessing it's mostly a shredded wood product that has gotten wet and matted. It sounds like my old hardwood mulch--which has apparently converted itself to particle board over the winter. I could pick up a piece and make a table....See MoreLVF installed. Now, how should I fix the problem?
Comments (0)I just had my floors installed. The floor looks nice except it dips and moves in some areas. High traffic areas! I researched for two years on the proper install for this type of flooring. My sub floor which is concrete was very uneven, especially in the high traffic area. I discussed with the hub and watched countless videos on the proper install: level the floor first! We hired a guy who insisted that an underlayment under the flooring will fix the problem. I disagreed d/t my research but my hub thought “good idea”. We will save time this way. Again I disagreed but didn’t win the argument. Now the floor is down and there are very noticeable dips when I walk in certain areas. The installer suggested that we only wear soft sole shoes or socks in the area (high traffic area!!!!). As if it’ll prevent the floor from eventually pulling apart or breaking. He does not feel he should get paid for the job and neither do I but he did put in a lot of hours. What is the best way to fix the areas that are messed up?...See MoreTilts tent/pop up 3 month after installed vinyl planks over tile
Comments (9)I'm very sorry for the OP. This is the FIRST TIME, that I've seen, the manufacture's 'allowed' installation has been directly contradicted by a situational install over tile. That is to say, this is the first time I've seen/heard this happen. This is a MIGHTY day in the flooring world (sorry OP....I really wish this had not happened to you...I really do)! This is the day we, as upstanding floor pros can POINT TO and say, "See here! This is what CAN HAPPEN if you go DIRECTLY OVER TILE with vinyl! Do the right thing and remove the tile!" OP...again I'm so sorry this has happened. I can't tell you how much my heart breaks for you. Your installer did everything properly (assuming this is the only issue). Vinyl products state these floors can go directly over tiles so long as the tiles are well bonded to the substrate (yours were...so all good there). Sadly, the only option now = Remove the vinyl (be prepared to lose 25% of the planks due to edge breakage), remove the tile, lay $0.13/sf vapour barrier and install vinyl once more. I'm so sorry....but this is the only thing you have left. Sadly, you will have to pay for the vinyl removal, the tile removal, the vinyl installation and pay for more product because of loss to breakage....See MoreOlychick
