Paint color recommendations, please

Hello,

We are remodeling a master bathroom and need to choose a paint color very soon. I'm struggling to come up with the right shade for my bathroom and I'm looking for input and advice. The floors will be a travertine that has alot of cream and medium brown in a swirl pattern, the cabinets are off white with very light brown glaze, the countertop and showers will be crema marfil which is a mostly ivory marble with bits of brown and grey. The master bedroom carpet is tan (melds nicely with the travertine), and, the bedroom is painted Red Cayenne from Laura Ashley. I've chosen a carmel color for the bathroom walls but that seems too "safe". I'd prefer something that gently contrasts (robins egg blue perhaps) but am having a hard time finding anything that looks "right". There is one 36 inch wide, by 5 feet tall window in the room that faces SE.

We usually paint the master bathroom the same color as the master bedroom, & carry the same decor through.
what is your accent color in your bedroom? Maybe that color would work in the bathroom.

Sounds like you have similar tones throughout,and maybe some contrast would help. Gray Blues and greens are very soothing colors that work well with the neural colors you've mentioned. I think a soft gray blue would be really pretty. I'm thinking of something like BM Quiet Moments or Healing Aloe. In SW colors some nice spa like colors are Quietude, Comfort Gray, Sea Salt - all have a gray base but lean towards blues and greens when they're on the walls and would be very pretty with the elements you've described and perfect for a relaxing environment

I have painted a number of squares of RH Butter on the walls, and I love it. I have samples of the two SW colors, but I don't think I'm going to put them up. They are both darker than the Butter, and I don't think I want to go darker. I would have liked to try the EK Honeysuckle, but as far as I can tell that paint has to be ordered, and I don't want to take the time to order a sample and then order the paint. I hope that the Butter looks good next to the two full-spectrum paints. I'll post photos when it is done. Thank you all, so much, for your help! scanmike, thank you for the comment about the finish. I had thought of matching the Butter in BM, because the closest RH is out of it (and the website is doing inventory and not shipping for a week). I did find it in the second closest store, though, so I will get it on Saturday. By coincidence, I just put up squares of Cappuccino in my new bathroom, and I think I am going to use that, too! I wish RH made towels in that color; unfortunately, they don't seem to.

Please! Recommendations for "true" light gray paint color

It’s really dependent on your lighting. I am in the process of doing my basement, and what was “true” gray on the chip was purple on my walls. The color we went with is called Wheat Bread (Behr) and it looks gray. What I did was get a few samples, put them up on the wall, and then wrote the “problem” with the color on the chip - too purple, too yellow, etc. Then went back to the paint store with the chips and found similar colors that corrected for the problem. Put a total of six colors on the wall before I found one that looked right. Good luck! It can be frustrating.

Please recommend off white BM paint color

Hi, please recommend an off white paint color that would go well with our carpet and brighten up the space. I really love revere pewter and light pewter but I’m not sure if that will fit with the color of carpet. Maybe winds breath or baby fawn would work? Open to suggestions!

Design Dilemma- update exterior colour scheme for curb appeal

If the goal is to upgrade the curb appeal, I would look to landscaping because your house colours are mostly working as is. That said, you're showing the Gentek samples which I'm assuming are for the soffit. The soffit doesn't actually show so I'm not sure why you're starting there. They help bounce light into your windows, so going with the lightest colour that goes with your lightest bricks (NOT white) would be a direction for the soffits. The door and siding are an entirely different matter. The brown that you have now on the siding goes perfectly with the darkest brown bricks. Just refresh it. The thing that looks out of place is the overly white vinyl windows and door. I'm guessing the windows can not be painted so that leaves the door . (If the windows could be painted, a beige colour that tied back into the brick would be the idea. ) The front door could/should be a different colour than the siding. The natural wood tone suggested by Freedomplace1 would work with your brick if you changed the door, but probably not as a paint colour. What were you thinking for the door?

Thank you both for your recommendations! My accent color in the Master bathroom is a Ralph Lauren robin's egg blue (on two pillows), which tends towards green a bit. I've looked up some of the specific colors that you mention lukkiirish and really like Quietude. I'll check out this and the other colors that you mention. Thank you both for your input.
