I am also considering Amerock hardware, so I would like to know how the hardware holds up, too.

In our last house we put in all Amerock hardware in the kitchen and baths, then we built this house, and even though not all of the knobs and pulls are Amerock, many are...Probably as many as we put in the other house. I find what we have (and have had) to be sturdy and of good quality with a nice finish. Those you're considering look very nice.

I believe that is the brand of hardware that my cabinet maker included with my cabinets. I have been very pleased with the quality. We got cup pulls and simple, round knobs, but all the choices we looked at in his shop were the same brand, and they all seemed to be very sturdy.

I like the hardware you are looking at, simple with clean lines and they look sturdy. As for Amerock quality, I am painting and reusing some of our 30 year old cabinets in our renovation. They have Amerock hardware that is in great condition despite being quite dated. I am actually reusing some of the hinges in my utility room and in a wall of uppers in my new kitchen.

I looked at a LOT of pulls because I also wanted simple ones and they proved hard to find. I looked at a lot of Amerock ones. I ended up with my knobs from Amerock and my pulls from Restoration Hardware. They are both satin nickel finish. I would say overall the quality is about the same. A FEW of the Amerock ones I looked at seemed lighter/less quality built, but most were on par with the RH pulls I got. Try to get samples before ordering all.... some are definitely more solid than others.

HD also carries some Amerock. I can't see anything about them that looks any less sturdy than anybody else's hardware. Amerock does have different quality lines, as staceyneil said. (Their ultra cheap valueline stuff isn't always the most sturdy looking, but the regular Amerock is as good as most other brands.)

Just an update, I decided to order the pulls pictured above! I was going to order just one as a sample, but then I realized they have no restocking fee for Amerock. So, why pay the s/h twice (once for the sample and again for the whole order). I'll just pay for the shipping to return it if necessary!

Thanks for all the positive feedback about this brand. I did look at Home Depot. Some were not so great, others looked pretty good. I'll risk it.

I must tell you, I was at a Restoration Hardware outlet store on Saturday--they had the glass bar pulls--50% off. The knobs in my kitchen are crystal balls. I was in love with these--however, I realized that I had just finished putting satin nickel hinges on all the doors and all they had were the chrome and glass bar pulls--they were beautiful though!

I will post some pictures once they are installed!

I love the ones you picked. I have Amerock. I think they're fine. I sent away for mine off the internet someplace and got a great package deal.

We had amerock on our old cabinets, when we were removing the handles prior to demo, TWO broke! But, if you keep both sides screwed in, i'm sure that wouldn't happen.

We got restoration hardware pulls and we love them, they are solid brass, and the Amerock that I looked at when choosing for the new kitchen were not (Lowes is where I was looking). The only reason we really went with Restoration Hardware is that we wanted long pulls and they aren't common everywhere. I have noticed, though, that you can't really tell the 'heft' of the handle once it's installed, as the weight is really supported by the door! I would have loved to find something cheaper, we just couldn't get the look we were after!

We used several Amerock products in our new house and have been pleased with the quality. Their company customer service seems to be good, too. Five of our Amerock towel bars in the Arrondi series were packaged with the wrong attachment hardware. I emailed CS today and had a response within an hour, saying that they'll send out replacements immediately. I like that!!

Incidentally, we also ordered things from CK&P and were very happy with them. My testimonial is about the fourth one down.
