Dumb question about hot water fillers & pot fillers
Comments (7)The house we are renovating had a hot water tap at the sink. I was impressed. I'm a tea drinker, and it made it so easy. I also used it to clean a pot or pan, sort of a squirt of the very hot water to sanitize it. Of course I only used it one weekend we stayed at the house before demo. I took it out and didnt replace it for two reasons. One, even though we have well water, i prefer to drink (and make tea with) spring water. Two, my sink has two faucets , a soap and a sprayer. Thats a lot of bling already. Pot fillers. I put one in the kitchen in my old house 8-9 years ago. Loved it, could not do without it. If only you could drain the water too....See MoreOver the range hood vs. Microhood HELP
Comments (17)Forgive me I have to chime in. I know this is the great debate. I detest my Over the range mw. If I could rip it out (finances are strained this year) I would do it. I really dislike it... The number one reason is the crowding issue. I like to cook at my range without any having to step aside. I might be cooking a meal that takes time stirring, simmering, double boiling... ( Rissotto, stew, chilli...) And I get interrupted because someone in my house needs to defrost, or make popcorn, or melt cheese... I always have to step back and let the MW cook do their thing. I wish the MW were any place else. Yes, even the garage would be a better place than where it is now. I regret that I did not spend the time, money and effort when I was first planning this. My DH kept telling me we can always move it later. Well, later has not come. : ( If you have the chance to move it to a different place, You won't regret it. I have never heard of someone on GW saying "I wish I had put my microwave over my range. Why didn't I move my MW over the range?" Good luck and don't let my silly rant sway you. Comments (11)Your pot filler seems to be larger/bulkier than most pot fillers. And it is black against a light background. Those two things make any slight imperfection into a glaring one. I would either (1) not give it another thought, (2) replace it with one that isn't as bulky and is in a polished chrome finish or satin silvery finish that will not contrast so much with your tile, or (3) agree with The Kitchen Place's advice and remove the pot filler entirely (remember that with a pot filler you will still need to carry the full pot of water back to the sink). As an aside, why is that electrical receptacle right there behind the range? Code is that it be within 12" of the stove....See MorePot filler to match Kohler Modern Brass faucet
