I think that I've found my granite!
Comments (38)I must admit, this is a fabulous looking granite! I'm so very pleased with it. Circuspeanut, I remember seeing your lovely decorative countertop kitty! Buddyrose, I always enjoy seeing your Crema Bordeaux - looks great with cream cabinets - and look forward, too, to seeing your blue granite. So the countertops are even more beautiful installed, and I've opted for another piece to be installed (tomorrow, hopefully) vertically behind the range. Comments (4)I kinda like how the graining in the center panel flows like the granite (bottom pic). Yes... I love the stone as I"m a fan of "flowy" granites....See MoreFound Gorgeous Granite with Movement. What do I do?
Comments (15)I used the extra granite I had left over for a passthru shelf on the outside of the kitchen bay window, and also for the surround top, sides etc for my built in patio BBQ. Comments (9)Looks like about 35 sq ft of marble at about $4.28 a sq ft. That is a fraction of what I paid for mine, and I have the impression that marble pricing has gone up since then. Hard to say from these photos, but the veining appears to be in the direction of a Calcutta if not quite there - all of which doesn't matter if you like it. I would buy what you can use, so I wouldn't hesitate to grab the largest one and offer $75 for it. It is a little more than half the sq footage, but the other pieces are much thicker and they would be pricier. Being so thick, I would be afraid that it is a bit too much for shelves and such....See Moregr8daygw
