Stone White from Farrow & Ball is a color they've recently retired, but it can always be made-up for you. Anything but "white," it is most similar in nature to Ball Green (which F&B still has) and it's kind of a green-grey-taupe color that I've heard described as "gorgeous." On the wall, it is a quiet color with a grey undertone. However, like most of the colors I've listed, it is considerably deeper than pale Silver Sage. Based on your preference for Silver Sage, I'd say Dimpse followed by Mizzle are probably closest to what you're looking for; however, like Silver Sage, they do have a lot of blue in them. Vert de Terre is closer to the color I think you desire and to Paris Rain, if it were only a bit lighter (and I'm sure you could have something mixed custom).

@feisty68: thanks for reminding me. I wasn't able to find older threads, so I thought posting a new thread might help others in the same situation. The house was built in 1868 and has a Mansard roof. Very little architectural detail has been preserved on the inside. The first floor basically consists of three 13'x13' boxes connected by arched openings: a front living room with a bay window, a dining room, and the kitchen in the rear. All rooms have the same red oak flooring in a reddish tone very similar to Adel Medium Brown. The door on the east wall, which is being resized, leads to a tiny room (can be used as a pantry) on the north and the outside on the south. The nook on wall D leads to the dining room. Although this is an older thread, I thought I'd share a solution I came up with for future DIYers who might be stumped. I spent many hours googling, looking for an answer, and I couldn't find one that worked. I am staining yellow pine stair treads that are a little beat up, oak rails and trim, and maple newel posts. I needed something super dark that didn't show much grain so all these woods would blend. After several coats of stain (Minwax Espresso) it just wasn't happening. I had recently painted our brick fireplace a very dark brown (Behr in Dark Cavern) so I decided to try a paint wash over top of the stain. It worked like a charm! Using a slightly damp (and I mean slightly) rag I dipped it into some paint. Then I just wiped it on. Simple! It was pretty easy to wipe on without leaving streaks. (You only need a little.) You can do a second coat if you'd like it even darker. Even if it looks slightly streaky when wet, it will be very hard to see when dry. Then, just poly over it all. Make sure it has plenty of time to cure first, though. Here is a photo showing the difference. The top two are oak. The left had been stained twice, the right only once. The bottom is the pine tread which was also stained twice. You can see the darker areas that I paint washed. I'll post a final photo when we're all done. :)

My eyebrows are very light, and after trying various powders and colors I found the best solution for me was also very inexpensive: Wet & Wild's eyebrow pencil in Taupe. It's so soft that I can stroke it on my brows at an angle, and it actually colors the hairs. I can fill in with the point if necessary. I don't think I'd want grey eyebrows--but I love grey eye liner, and in fact just ordered two of of them in different shades of grey from eBay.
