I feel your pain - but unfortunately, can't help with this one...
Sometimes the right color pops just at the last second!

Not for cabinets but for exterior window trim!
We tried snowbound and pure white next to the black windows and they read stark AZEK white!! almost chalky.
We went with SW touch of cream - not too creamy but it all depends on lighting this is for exterior trim but I am painting the boards in the house and it doesnt seem too creamy at all. Just a nice soft white.

Some people down the street used Snowbound on the exterior of their house and it is stark stark white. I specifically asked what the paint color was because I wanted to make sure we didn't choose the same one for our house. I wanted a soft white that didn't read ivory but wasn't blinding either.

Pure White is also very white. it's what we used for our trim in our last house before I had my full paint education (LOL!) and knew how many whites were out there! But it was fine for our trim at the time.

Alabaster is a near match for Benjamin Moore's infamous White Dove. Now you could use it based on that. But many GWers have slapped samples up in their own kitchens with their own lighting and surroundings and have found that White Dove (or in this case, Alabaster) won't work and doesn't look good in their homes.

I caution you about rushing into this decision without looking at several (and sometimes many) samples in your house first.

I tried so many sample cans of whites when picking mine. Alabaster looked dingey/yellow/gross in my light (as did BM White Dove, interestingly enough). Snowbound looked like it could work as it was much whiter, but there is a touch of red in it which gave it a pink undertone in my light. I went to the SW store and spoke with a great associate who looked at the formula. We worked out a custom formula which eliminated the red and used some black instead. It looked great and was planning to use it until I found it to be almost an exact match for BM Simply White so I used that instead since my painter was using BM paint. I never tried Pure White.

I completely agree with Babs. Do not rush this decision. Paint large pieces of poster board or foam core board with a sample can. Hold them up in different parts of the room and different times of day to make sure its right in all lights. Just because a color was used successfully by someone else or looks good on your computer monitor doesn't mean it will work in *your* light.

We're trying to decide on Snowbound or Alabaster....Each time I look at it, they seem different....sometimes one looks grayer, then the next time its reversed...Help!

What did you use? How did you like it? What direction are most of your windows facing? What part of the country? Thanks! (I need same kind of advice:)

did anyone consider SW origami? My walls are SW light french gray and family room, BM nimbus gray. I just painted my fireplace brick simply white, but it's too cold w/a hint of yellow...Origami is on my staircase kick plates/trim and it looks nice, but is very creamy. I want an off white with not too much yellow, pink or brown and I'm having a hard time...I may lighten the SW Origami by 15 to 25% and go with that. Any advice? I'm also doing my kitchen cabinets with whatever I choose for the fireplace/trim

I'm trying to choose between SW Pure White for exterior stucco and SW Snowbound. I think Pure White looks too bright, leaning toward Snowbound, but my husband likes the brighter white better. Concerned Pure White will be too stark. Any comments from anyone that's painted either Snowbound or Pure White on exterior stucco?

Natalie, I personally would choose for the exterior sw alabaster. All whites are going to look brighter outside. I wouldn't choose a high LRV for the outside.
