I like it very much, but I also think that you need to be completely sold on it. If you're not totally in love with it, you might want to keep looking.

I like it a lot - the red version is quite elegant too. A small bath/powder room is the perfect place to try out something a little different from what you might ordinarily do. I don't really know from wallpapering, is this type of pattern an easy repeat to match up seams, etc.?

I might keep looking to satisfy any doubts, but if your eye and mind keep coming back to it, it's probably the one.

I love it! But then, I'm partial to toile rooms. Just keep everything else simple (if - white or cream towels, white/cream shower curtain, etc.)

I just finished wallpapering an attic bedroom with a blue/taupe toile and I really like it. The rest of the room isn't finished, but you can take a look - I've attached the link to my photos.

I love toiles, but I am sorry, that one is creepy, imo. A cupid stealing the bird's nest, and the bird squawking and chasing to get it back?

There are lots of fabulous toiles (and spy's room is wonderful), but this one would give me the willies if I were using the bathroom.

Oh that's funny... he IS stealing the nest! It's an empty one, though. He has a jolly look on his face; I bet he'll give it back. I love it!!!

Make sure you get a sample before you buy it, so you don't get surprised.

I do like the paper.... I think what I lack is confidence. This is my first home, and I'm just now attempting to make careful, thoughful, big picture decorating decisions. I second guess myself.... I saw that paper, loved it, and immediatley thought "maybe I'm wrong..".

Les, lol, you really analyzed it more than I did. I think I reacted more to the general feel & color of that paper. Maybe the cherub & the bird are just playing... :)

And Spy10021 - that room is georgous. Those beds are to die for. And your flooring too. I'm going to go look at your other photos also.

I will definitely order a sample before I use anything, might even try to find something local. Not til after the holidays though, too much going on right now.

Would a bird consider it play if you took his/her nest? No way -- they'd fight to the death to protect it. Just sayin' as a bird owner. :-)

How soon are you thinking resale, Rilie? I hate to say it, but you can probably rule out almost all the men and way more than half the women when it comes to using cherubs in decor. But if you're going to be there for a long time and you love it, go for it. It could indeed be quite dramatic in a little powder room. Whatever you decide, we'd love to see pics when you're done.

Oceanna, of course the future is unknown, but this will hopefully be our forever home. I'm not interested in moving on or moving up. We love our property, love our neighbors. We're happy here. If we leave, it will probably be when we're seniors.

The property attracted us to this place. Granted, the house needs cosmetic work, but it has good bones and we have a vision. :)

I have been looking for a toile fabric for my small guest bathroom shower curtain.
What I like about the paper you are looking at is that it offers a number of different options with what colors you can use with it. It's not just the single color plus the background. I also like the caladium-type leaves in it.

The angel is catching the fallen nest and the bird looks happy, thanking him for saving all her hard work.

A toile room is lovely. I'd consider the scale of the pattern to the size of the space.

Try it! You can always change it out later.

I love toile, too, and think if you love that particular one, then use it. A small room would be easier to change if later you tired of it.

Spy--your house is amazing! What a transformation! I couldn't stop looking at the pics that you had available on that link you posted above. The toile headboard and chair in the bedroom with red, black and cream---gorgeous also! Were the "before" pictures from a previous owner? Just wondering...It reminded me of how we bought our house, then did a total remodel--including smaller parts of it even now after 2 yrs.

Rilie, yeah it's just paper, but have you ever wallpapered around and behind a toilet or stripped wallpaper from that area? I've done both jobs and they made me say bad words and question my sanity. For that reason I'd do paint or beadboard 2/3 of the way up the walls, then a chair rail, and paper above that where it's easier to reach. Just food for thought. It looks like your mind is already made up, though.
