Fall decorated fireplace mantels

I always get such great inspiration from everyones' photos. I would love to see your Fall decorated fireplace mantel. This is a peek at mine, tonight I am hoping to take a "full" photo of the mantel with small voltive candles lit. Warning ahead LOL, I love overdoing mine, but I also love the cleanly/simply done too.

So please post yours.

I have four fireplaces, but three are the kiva (sometimes referred to as beehive) fireplaces, which I'm pretty sure are not what you're interested in. This one in my living room is not a kiva. The books are antiques. The two side paintings were done by my bestfriend, an artist here in New Mexico. Painting in the middle is by New Mexico artist Michael McCullough. Pot on right is a Native American (pueblo) wedding vase. Those things leaning against either side of the fireplace are handcarved walking sticks from Kenya. I agree that less on the mantel is best, more focus on the sign. I am also not a big fan of prefab fireplaces with louvers. Even though it is a blatant distraction, most people overlook this and don't realize it can be hidden like this: Shown Above: 1P30M Labyrinth Fireplace Screen with MAN-9 Gallery Andirons in Statuary Bronze. Hard to judge without seeing more of room. Agree that items should be removed from mantel as detracts from strong detail of art. Agree maybe pillow in foreground is too “matchy” with art but again hard to say with limited view of room. Can we see more? That aligator / crocodile on mantel kind of whimsical - maybe it stays on mantel - remove the book he’s holding & slide him to left side by TV - remove the other photos etc which aren’t being displayed effectively there.

Caminnc, thankyou, there is just something so soothing but still exciting about Fall colors.

bonniee, Very nice! I so want your cherubs too, and they will fit in with Christmas and even Valentines day too, I love items that have multi use.

livvyandbella, thank you, I lucked out and bought a matching pair of the dogs, this is the first time I used them on the mantel, usually they are on the bookcase.

Thank you Leahcate & Judithva! I am itching to get to HObby Lobby to pick up more decorating stuff for Christmas.....getting very close! :) I love doing decorating , it is like therapy to me, like gardening to other people. LOL! :) Bonnie
