Extra long black curtain rod sources

I have a very long wall with two triple sliding doors in it that's about 30'. I'm looking for a place to get a black curtain rod for it. Regular rods do not come long enough, but I've found several companies online that make longer ones. They splice them to length with the splices at the supports.

I thought I'd ask here before ordering in case someone has found a great place they could recommend. I want a quality rod, not a cheap looking one that might sag.

I am considering ordering from the site linked below. You can contact them for extra long lengths. They make wrought iron rods which hopefully will not sag. I have a long expanse to cover and my drapes will be relatively heavy so that's why I started looking for iron rods.

Thanks for responding! It's actually one of the sites I have been looking at. I spoke to them a week ago about finishes and shipping times. I'm also been in contact with www.ironandinteriors.com which has nice rods also.

I believe both make good quality round rods with a nice choice of finials, however I've hesitated over Robles' ball finial as it doesn't look as if it proportionally fits the rod in the pictures - if you look closely. Both my daughter and I thought the finial looked too small for the 1 1/4" rod. The Texas place has a ball finial that actually looks as if it had been welded to the rod as well as a standard ball finial and a variety of others, so I am leaning in their direction. I need to make a decision.

I'm looking for a rod and finials with a bit of texture for the living room so that they don't look as if they came from Pottery Barn, although I also have some of PB's elsewhere in the house. Robles seems to wax then paint their iron rods to give them texture, the Texas one treats their metal with acid to etch it before painting to give it an aged look.

Writersblock and Kirkhall, thanks. I'd found signature hardware and the extensions and the *really* long rods, and they are my backup plans. There's also a company (maybe signature hardware itself) that will create a "custom" rod by cutting down other rods, but I haven't been able to find a double rod so far... The cable curtain rod is an interesting idea....will have to look into whether it would rust! Thanks again, BF

Rods come with extenders so the width won't be a big issue. Stores like JCP, Bed Bath & Beyond or even Lowe's have those. I got mine at Lowe's, the prices were really affordable and the selection had what I was looking for. Grommet shears are a pretty common staple at the stores, but if you want billowy with a little weight to them I'd go with Pottery Barn's, though pricy, their grommet shears are really pretty. I would also check Ikea, they are budget friendly and usually have something like a long shear in stock at affordable prices.

You might try Ikea. The longest rod ($6.99) extends to 152", but you can take it past 200" if you buy 2 of them and use both of the larger rod halves with one of the smaller rods inserted between them. Support brackets and finials must be purchased separately (black, white, or gray), but all the pieces are inexpensive and can be ordered online. Ikea also has other types of drapery hardware with even longer runs, but I haven't used any other than the basic rods. Hugad curtain rod

Thanks we do have room on the sides. We also already have light filtering shades that are supposed to filter out 99% of the light. However there's still way too much light that comes through in the morning especially since the sun rises right in the window. We need blackout curtains in order to be able to sleep. They would be mostly pulled during the day so I'm not too worried about how they would look when closed. I'm afraid panels wouldn't work because light might come in where the two panels meet.

I got a custom made rod from Smith and Noble. It wasn't cheap but was very solid and sturdy.
