I think countertops were one of the hardest things to choose . . . along with paint colors and appliances!! So glad you love your choice . . . will love to see pictures.

I chose Zodiaq for my perimeter counters and a contrasting granite for the island . . . I, too, am thrilled with my choice. I love the easy care of the quartz -- expect you will, too!

Yes, waiting for countertops is just torture- you have my sympathy. Unless you have something in place as a pretend countertop and a sink, which I didn't have. I still can't use my sink, and I have no faucet yet (it exists, just isn't hooked up). So, washing dishes in the bathtub....

I need a new camera battery charger, which I'll get tomorrow and post pics!

Its so funny reading these posts,it sounds like you all know each other (do you???). I am so happy for you because your wait of "did I pick the right countertop' is over with a happy ending. And now I am jealous you are done :)

I went to the granite place today to take pics of my granite being loaded onto the truck for delivery to my fabricator. So My wait continues (what's another week after 5 months right?)

Congrats! I went through the same thing I can so relate. I know nothing is permanent but it is such an expensive element it's not like you can change it like paint color It's such a good feeling after all the torment of deciding to be thrilled with the result. Ditto with other posters borrow a camera We want pictures!

Logged on to catch up on threads I've missed over the past week and yours was the first I clicked on. Boy was I relieved when I saw the pics at the bottom... SO PRETTY! You are right... just PERFECT!!

Oh, thank you! I am relieved it came together well, too. Such a small remodel compared to some, but in the end it still cost approximately a million dollars and hours of time. So it is nice that I love it :) My old kitchen was such a stressful jumble I just like how relaxing the new one is.

Nesting: What color are your cabinets? My sister-in-law is interested in Caesarstone and I would love to see a picture with your counter and countertop all in one! Hooray for you! I am jealous because they look beautiful and I am so far away from installing counters :(

Some of the cabinets are white and some are what Alno calls "graphite" which is basically brown-black. I need to put a different lens on the camera and get some better shots-- I'll do that soon!

Thanks! I love them too. And so far the maintenance has been a breeze. I haven't started major cooking yet but I think I'll get a huge cutting board to put right by the stove to throw hot pots and to cut on and things. I have spilled stuff already all over it (clearly I am not a marble person, although it's beautiful) and it doesn't show anything.
